Not too shabby...but even though Im a Notre Dame guy...Im not real high on Hart.

Perhaps swap out Cam Hart at 121 for Jarius Monroe, CB, Tulane - Steelers appear to have met with him and shown interest. Not beyond the realm of possibility that he is ranked on their board for selection in the 4th round, if not sooner.

monstrous RT ....... Jones exit to stage left would be nice

I just read an article that the STEELERS are sticking with Moore at LT. He is the upcoming starter.

But before you get panties in a bunch, realize that Jones is RT current ly.

I bet by TC, that changes to Moore being depth, Jones to left AND a RT drafted in the 3rd or 4th. Hella, Moore was drafted 4th rnd and started out the gate, so it’s not to far fetched.

Kahn & Wield (sp) have asked the new OC what he wants and I’m sure they are all on the same page. I’m already seeing improvement by elimination.

Exciting off-season so far.

If NH is the feature back, you have to go center 1 or 2. Even if he is not you probs need to

I’m preaching full fledge CENTER, not a project or cast off. Take the best of the best

Why do you feel that way?
He's not ready... is very raw. Converted wide receiver.

Despite his size, he is not that physical and has some tackling concerns.

Gets lazy in press coverage which lead to alot of flags, and "freelances" too much which lead to several big plays for the opposition.

If you have a few years to wait on him to learn the trade at the NFl level......he could turn into a average starter at the outside press position.

IMHO

Took one trade back. Grabbed our new tackle to pair with Jones. Took at DL early. This year doesn't have tremendous talent but there is some. Then, grabbed our new C in the 3rd. Van Prann had been the No. 1 ranked C heading into the offseason but didn't participate in the bowl games. If he shows up and does well at the combine, he may move back up in the rankings. If they grab a QB late and either the FSU QB or the Tennessee QB are there, that's who I'd pick. Both have great arms and a good bit to work with.

Had a couple of trade backs to gain extra 2nd and 3rd round picks. Snagged our C for the next decade. Pretty much hit all of our weaknesses. Milton from TN should be our QB3 and could surprise us in a year. Double dipped at ILB since we got hit so bad there with injuries this past year and will probably lose at least one of our ILB's from last year.

As much as I am doing drafts focused on the trenches, I could easily see the Steelers going CB round 1

Besides C they could argue corner is the biggest need. So sure if a BPA is there I would think they would be leaning heavily.

I think a vet starting CB is needed, thus we could draft a mid round slot CB and get the boundary in free agency. Trice might be the outside backup if he can stay healthy

True as it is a lot for a rookie corner to start out of the gates. You can't put yourself in a position dependant on a corner or center to be drafted and be solid game 1. Not for a team that the owner wants a playoff win.
I know the Steelers will bring in a corner and a center in free agency. That with a veteran QB is the moves we can bank on.

If a 1st or 2nd round C is drafted I could see the rookie starting behind Herbig/Daniels/Spencer after just 3 games, but CB? Tough task

Exactly. Even if the C managed or any positional rookie managed to be starting capable it is long seasons. Longer than they are used to. So often they get quiet late in the season hitting those walls. You really have to fortify your area of weakness with vets and rookies. Those rookies have to be considered building blocks. You also know what vets are sort of prone to with injuries. Rookies you are in the getting to know you and developmental stage. Besides easing them into play... for the mistakes they may or may not have- you are more importantly easing that element of exhaustion of a longer season. I know fans want rookie A to start sooner than later but the smart play is to ease them in.

Focus on defense:

-Starting center of the future.

84. Javon Bullard, S, Georgia
-Keep the Georgia pipeline going, future starter at safety.

-Taking a chance on a receiver late

238. KT Leveston, OT, Kansas State

aint no way this happens with the top two picks. but, just took the talent as it dropped instead of reaching or drafting for need.
