All he did was become our first round pick. They’ve made a lot worse first round picks, especially with DB’s.

Yes. He was a super young high talent available for what was going to be a middling first round pick. It was one of like four scenarios that you deal a first rounder in

I am a big Minkah fan. He started on fire here, last year was a little down, but I think that is more on how he was used. Yesterday he was just all over the field and could easily argue he won the game. I think he has great passion and attitude and will be the defensive leader after Heyward steps down.

What about the ******* that weren't chaffing but are still just *******................................... ?

******* Minka, can't stay in one spot for long and a ref crying ***** as well..................................

I'll take any player with his fire and 3/4 's his ability.

PS I was for the trade

Not sure who would argue to the contrary. Perhaps a welcher or someone of similar ilk.

Dude put 7 points on the scoreboard, then blocked an XP that would have resulted in a brutal loss.

He was a huge factor
But obviously we needed all 9 other players on D too (especially Cam and Watt and Highsmith)

Damn Minkah was clutch tho

I’ll repeat what I’ve said about this. Year one he was able to play free bc he didn’t know MT system and he balled out. Year two MT ****** him by handicapping this man.

That pick and TD was “is that Troy”. Free that man

I don't recall anyone bitching. Not even the usual suspects

Agree, I think they could have been counted with one hand if at all
most were tickled pink that we got a top notch young Safety. I don’t remember hardly anyone at all bitching. The ‘Bama fans on here have been beating off for 4 years now🙂

You can't be serious??? There was SOOOO MUCH BELLY ACHE MOANING that we spent a first round draft pick on Minkah!!! Hence the reason of this thread. Supe and I talked about this for days when the deal broke...

I guess I was just so ecstatic, I turned the negative **** out. I am good at that

A year earlier at that. They got 2 1st rounders that year.

If you really want to feel good about this trade, look at what Miami did with the picks we gave them…

They spent their first on a left tackle (Austin Jackson) that was one of the worse in the league through his first two seasons, and has since been moved to RT… in his first game at RT this week, he hurt his ankle and couldn’t finish the game….

They spent the fifth we sent them on a DE (Jason Strowbridge) that spent one season with the team, was cut, and is basically out of football now….

They spent the sixth we gave them on a trade with KC for a rb and a seventh rounder.
-The RB (DeAndre Washington) played in three games all season for them and gained 86 yards… he is currently a free agent …
- they packaged the 7th with a Safety they had formerly taken 9th overall to move up 14 spots in the seventh ..

(the safety, Ereck Flowers, is currently Washington’s starter, and they used the seventh to draft a wr, Dax Milne, who is still on their 53…

The seventh Miami got was used on RB Gerrid Doaks. He was cut four months later and added to their practice squad… he currently is on Hostons practice Squad

along with Mincah, Miami sent us a 4th and a Seventh too

We used the fourth on our current starting RG Kevin Dotson
We used the seventh on valuable slot corner/s Tre Norwood.

But wait, It gets better… that Wr Washington drafted in the seventh was a huge reason they decided Sims was expendable…

So we got an all pro S, a low end starting Guard, and a backup slot corner plus ultimately a pr/kr/wr

Washington got a starting safety and a ristered slot wr

Miami got a RT they hope can be as good as chuks sooner or later
