I am confused on your question/statement. you asked me how I felt about the year Ben went down. I answered that I felt they would win 8-9 games.

what does a afc championship have anything to do with this?

if you are asking me what i thought about the team BEFORE ben went down then yeah I agree with you expectation would have been higher. AFC championship would have been the expectation or more.

I guess what I'm saying is at the point where they team appears to have no chance of winning and really contending I'm ok with 4 wins instead of 8. I don't like the team to perpetually stay in the upper middle.

I went into the game thinking man if we lose our draft pick would be 5-7 picks higher. lets lose. then kickoff happened and those thoughts went away. gotta win.

I would say playoffs were involved. Also Ben farewell. Somewhat different. The year he was out I was simply let's see what Mason can do and land a draft pick if he sucks. Then they threw in Fitz and started playing defense thevway it should be for about 7 or 8 weeks.

again I get the thought process. but when you trade your 1st rounder, it isnt like it was for a 1 year deal. He was the answer to how the Steelers like to run a defense. They havent had anyone like that in forever. since troy was in his prime. It was a good trade for 2019 season and a great trade ongoing.

I know with Coach Tomlin at the helm and all HIS non-losing seasons have gotten us just what is being said,........... middle of the pack and that includes draft position.

I always want winning and the STEELERS organization was once about that but it seems as of late (10+ yrs.) we have accepted mediocrity.

Not sure of exact answer but trying the same thing over and over and over with the same results,............ well you know where that heads.................
