An NFL-is-rigged Super Bowl prediction

Why does anyone who really believes this watch?

Why do people watch the WWE? It's entertaining. I personally think it's all bullshit dating back to at least the Pats*** and that horseshit tuck rule game in 2001. It is what it is. The old way is dead.

I dunno, did we see a fix today, on that Michael Vick fumble? Everyone no planet earth saw it was a fumble. The announcers saw it. Mike Carey said it was a fumble. And lo and behold New York said no fumble.

Eerily reminiscent of Troy's INT of Manning in Indy in the 2005 playoff run...a play so obvious the world could see it, but the NFL inexplicably over rules it.

It's calls like these...

But I thought that would be too obvious? So if the Jets get a bad call that means it's fixed for the Steelers? What if there are 2 bad calls in a game? One against each team? Why would Carey not agree with the call since he is in on the conspiracy as well?

Carey will have an "accident" tonight.

Whoopi, you're jumping to the conclusion that I am of the opinion that games are rigged. I am on the fence. All professional sports have been busted for cheating, including the NFL, so it's not a tin foil hat-sort of thing. The evidence is there. Do I believe it happens frequently or even infrequently? No idea.

The call on Polamalu's INT in 2005 to me was an intent to fix. Period. It was utterly inexplicable and turned the game on an INT that had essentially closed the game to get a revenue-generating media darling deep into the playoffs.

Today? I just can't understand the inexplicable call. I don't think the NFL cares about this game, to be honest. There's no motive.

.

I thought the 2005 post season was fixed toward getting Bettis is storybook ending in Detroit?

This **** is confusing.

The only thing that looked fixed was the lack of calls on big plays toward us. We had a blatent hold on Tuitt that wasn't called. And on 1st and 10 at the end of the 3rd on the deep pass was the worst no call pass interference I have ever witnessed. The defender had both hands on the receiver pushing him, stopping him from coming back to the ball. Textbook PI, not called. The fix was in...

So the NFL conspired to say that Troy didn't intercept the ball but then didn't conspire when they had 2 chances to call PI on the Colts last possession, both in the EZ which would have at least assured them of a tie and probably win the game. Damn these refs can't get their conspiracy right.

Who's going to talk about the obvious bad call? No one that's who.

The NFL , couldn't care less if Carey agrees or not. They got the win they wanted.

Oh bullshit. Why would the NFL want the Jets to win anything when they haven't helped them win **** in over 40 years. Just black and gold pissing and moaning about being outplayed and out coached by a sucky *** team.

Money.

The NFL isn't rigged for getting this team or that team a ring, it's rigged to make money. How many people bet the steelers to win this week?

How about you? Did you pick the steelers to win in the prediction thread?

No the announcers aren't in on anything, do they have a sentimental favorite, absolutely, listen to Dick Enbergs broadcast the entire game.Lol did i state that Goodell was the commissioner when that game was played? Or did I state that we could all agree that Goodell would like to see [Peyton Manning] and the 2014 Broncos in the big game, great for ratings right? The two flags thrown in the last two minutes of the first half were the difference in that game way back when, Elway was the sentimental favorite, and Tagliabue was commish, so please tell me, your saying you know a group of NFL officials cant protect a quarterback or give him the benefit of a doubt on an interference call, it happens all the time, back then and even now, can a fix be in back then or now for any reason, ratings, sentimental favorite, absolutely, can i prove it no, can you prove your right, no....since you know your right...right?

I can't prove a negative. I can show you that NONE of the teams that everybody claims the NFL loves have won ****. The refs love the pats* so of course they rig the game so they can win the SB.... oh wait. Haven't won a SB in 10 ******* years. Even though all it would take is ONE call and it could have happened. They love the Jets so much that they rig the game to help them beat the Steelers but they don't like them enough to have them win **** in over 40 ******* years.

Sorry, but it takes a total suspension of reality to belief such non-sense. Also not ONE ex-nfl official, team member or NFL officer has ever come forward to say ****. These aren't the same people from 25 years ago. So that means it's systemic and hundreds of people know about it but NOT ONE person has even hinted at it. Anybody that believes hundreds of people can keep that hidden is just willing ignorant.

all this talk about fixing has me hungry....'bout to "fix" myself a pastrami on rye sammy :)

This non-sense you speak of would be your perception of the teams that everybody claims the NFL loves, the Patriots and Jets? Pro athletes and even teams have layed down, been payed, lied, since pro sports were organized, there's been crooked owners commissioners and referees throughout every professional sport, momentum has been given and taken away in the blink of an eye, and over time has been forgotten about. There's been people who have lived every day with something they've done that wasn't right and taken it to the grave, if an official or a commissioner or an owner, player, coach fixes a game and are threatened by some mob crime boss "You tell anyone, you, your kids, parents, are going to be swimming with the fishes" I would think they would be reluctant to come forward with any details about a fix, ignorance would be to believe that fixing a game isn't possible or hasn't never taken place.

Especially playing in their home stadium too!

You're just a regular einstein, arentcha!

Consider the following:

The officials can only control so much without looking very suspicious and blatant. There would likely be late flags on big plays early and often. The outcome of a rigged game might be what the NFL wanted but the ratings would suck as the game would likely be decided long before clock ran out, Think the NFL wants that?

In every instance of suspected rigging, there are penalties, plays and scores that fly in the face of the conspiracy.Try to find an example of a game that is not!

The NFL officials went on strike. Why would anyone complicit in COMMITiNG A CRIME with there employer go on strike against them?

They love the Jets so much that they rig the game to help them beat the Steelers but they don't like them enough to have them win **** in over 40 ******* years.

It didn't exactly hurt the Browns, Bengals or Ravens though, did it? Didn't win a championship but isn't met life stadium half theirs? Probably not a bad deal.

I don't think the outcomes of games are rigged, if they were, ******** like Belidick wouldn't need to cheat his *** off to compete in the league. And, despite getting paid great money, I don't think some players would be willing to fill their bodies with total poison to get an edge in a game that had predetermined outcomes. At least I would certainly hope not. With the first SB in New York last year (well, Jersey) how could they not have one of the NY teams in it? Instead we got Denver and Seattle in a ****** game. And if they are fixing games? Then why did they make us suffer through so many ****** blowout SBs over the years? The second half of those games couldn't have made the advertisers happy.

They have to do that to cover up the conspiracy. See they need to fix games so that they have the exact same outcome as non-fixed games.. oh wait....

I'd be surprised if Arizona makes it. It's better for the economy for both teams to be from out of town.

Arizona isn't NY. And, they aren't making it this year because they have no QB.

Einstein, no, but then again you dont have to be an Einstein to realize that a fix is conceivable, look at the Pittsburgh Seattle superbowl, Seahawk fans were up in arms about some of the calls, the sentimental story of Jeromme Bettis going home to Detroit in his final game, whats so difficult to see that fixing a game for ratings or a feel good story isnt possible, what about Neil O'Donnell and his performance against the Cowboys? Oh wait...just a minute

A fix is "conceivable"? Foorreaaal?? No shiiiit??

Yes, pretty much any outlandish scenario can be considered as "conceivable"; MY point, is that these ideas being floated around are highly IMPROBABLE. Until the day comes where HARD, IRREFUTABLE proof is brought forth that some elaborate scheme is amidst, all I have are these two words for you: "no dice"
