We need a sure handed guy who can run crisp routes. Instead we get a guy with suspect hands and poor route running. I hope I’m wrong but he was a weekly low light reel in New York. Couldn’t figure out that offense at all and even simple things an NFL receiver should know. Like sitting in obvious holes in zone defense he couldn’t do. I mean the fact the Jets are trading him with Lazard on IR speaks volumes of his worth on the team. Especially since they’re going to be paying him almost all his contract to play for us.
I'm glad they did something. Williams has a ton of drops. I think they overpaid for him. They must have felt desperate as he is worth no more than a 6th and preferably a conditional 7th. Hopefully, this won't be a wasted 5th round pick.

Aaron Rogers IS THE PROBLEM w/ the Jets. Not the WRs. They also have a terrible FO and an interim HC. This is a win for Mike Williams and the Steelers.
We now have two highlight reel catchers at the X & Z - who will our opponents double now??? Can't double George because Muth and Mike will eat. Lest we forget...CA3 can take the top off the field and will clear out the LBs and safeties.

With Williams being 6'4", maybe they will throw into the endzone. They have GP, Williams, Muuth, and Washington who are all big bodies and can win contested catches. Throw it high to the middle or to the corners of the endzone. I know that's asking a lot.

D. Adams and G. Wilson looking pretty good last week with A-a-ron QBing. Williams 71% of offensive snaps. 2 targets 1 catch 6 yards.

I’m not trying to be a smart *** or say we’re winning the whole thing. But this might be the most Pittsburgh/Rooney thing we could’ve done. Not splashy, not expensive, just a possible solid addition.
We'll find out when they get him back to the lab.

I called this trade so I am cool with it...I have watched 2 Jets games & Williams consistently was getting open. Rogers #1 wasn't looking for him & #2 couldn't get him the ball cause he's old
