And the latest WR To be a Steeler.....Mike Williams

I am pretty excited at the possibilities. He was an electric second option for Herbert prior to his knee injury. My opinion is that we are about maxed at opportunity considering the age of our core...so a 5th may be worth it in a win-now mentality?

I called this trade so I am cool with it...I have watched 2 Jets games & Williams consistently was getting open. Rogers #1 wasn't looking for him & #2 couldn't get him the ball cause he's old

I saw it with my own eyes...He will be just fine...A HUGE 6' 4" TARGET that Russs will find...
Also guessing with Williams size he'll be an obove average blocker which fits in with Arthur Smith's offense.

Yinz get the benefit of the doubt if Aaron Rodgers has been involved.

The Steelers traded the Antonio Brown for a 3rd and a 5th
They gave away a 5th for Mike Williams??

Let that sink in

Steelers had an extra 5th. An extra 7th. I look at it as do they upgrade Rodney (TE) and Moon (OLBer) the resounding answer is yes. So basically they have a hole in the 6th and retain picks in every other round. Sounds like a win win to me.

Hey!!! What's bong on with all the logical responses today??? This **** ain't normal...

LOL the worst possible ending to the saga. What a clown Khan is.
Why don’t you take the wait and see approach. To call him a clown based on one addition you don’t care for is extreme.

You do realize this is flat out wrong, right???

Aaron Rogers IS THE PROBLEM w/ the Jets. Not the WRs. They also have a terrible FO and an interim HC. This is a win for Mike Williams and the Steelers.

We now have two highlight reel catchers at the X & Z - who will our opponents double now??? Can't double George because Muth and Mike will eat. Lest we forget...CA3 can take the top off the field and will clear out the LBs and safeties.

C'est la vie...
Come on.....Rogers is a bestest QB of all time....arguably....or so I was told.

Ya know, no matter who they brought in-they might see 3-5 targets a game. Here Mike Williams or WR2 doesn’t have to be the man. Prior to his knee injury, he was averaging 7-8 targets a game. He doesn’t have to be the man here. 3-5 moon balls will help to open things up more.

Not a great addition if we were looking to seriously upgrade at WR2. Williams falls in line with the other receivers they signed this offseason in the sense that it's been 2-3 years since his last productive season. Odds of returning to that level aren't particularly high and I don't know how much of an upgrade he'll be over WRs 3-5. At least Austin is slowly starting to emerge and maybe the Steelers offense will be a better fit.

Not that a 5th is a huge deal, but a little steep for Williams' production.

Yeah a 5th was perhaps a round rich. But sometimes these teams don’t want to come off a player. I don’t think the Steelers were desperate but we knew they needed another option not on the roster.

I presume that they knew they had an extra 5th so thought ok one less 5th no biggie.

It is the Steelers 5th not the one they acquired BTW…

People forget that hopkins was traded for a CONDITIONAL 5th... its a 4 th if the defending SB champs win the SB again

We cant trade our 4th since it is already conditionally tied to the Fields trade... so we could not match the hopkins deal..

Interesting & makes sense

Not to mention if the Steelers did have their 4th round pick, the SB win condition would probably be considered less likely for the Steelers than KC, and therefore it would have required a different condition (or unconditional).

Plus our 6th is tied up as well. Which is what we give Chicago if Fields plays less than 51% of snaps.

I think it is make it to the SB. Here is what I read, “if the Chiefs make it to the Super Bowl and the five-time Pro Bowler plays at least 60% of snaps with Kansas City during his tenure.”
