Andrew Luck Retired

100% not a millennial wuss. Held the ball too long? Yes. Took at least 2-3 stupid hits a game? Yes. Overrated? Possibly. BUT not a wuss.

Agreed, to call him a wuss is ridiculous. He's tough. I also don't think he's a bad guy, but he handled this extremely poorly.

badly chosen moment to announce his retirement, that's it. He's free to do whatever he wants and he gave more than enough to his franchise

We're not even sure how he handled it. Do we know that he didn't tell the owner months ago that he'll see how it goes but he might retire? For fans to boo the guy is just ignorant.

Honestly, I think he was done 2 years ago but did not want to go out like that. I agree that he handled this extremely poorly but they people slamming him fall into three categories:
1) Fake tough guys
2) People who have never taken a hit (high school or higher)
3) Pissed off fans
Number 3 I understand, but the other two are just bullshit.

That's the other thing. Everybody is getting on the Colts fans for booing, but I don't blame them. Come on, he HAD to know he was thinking this for some time, so why wait until 2 weeks before the season. It's a dick move, plain and simple.

No, **** that. Complete dogshit and classless, they ought to be ashamed of themselves

I don't agree with the fans booing. Or the grand standing idiot who took off his 12 jersey for the camera. But asked who.... so...

Who are the old school qb's laughing at Luck? List them

Uncle Rico. Would have won state if coach had put him in 4th quarter. Back in '82.

If I recall correctly, Jim Brown didn't plan on retiring when he did but he wanted to miss a lot of training camp because he was filming "The Dirty Dozen". The Browns said no, so Jim said screw you, I can make more money in movies and not get hit.

So yes the Steelers probably should deal dobbs to the colts at this point.

Also this is why ANY time a potential high grade QB is on the draft board you take him. Its like with Bradshaw... they are one bad hit from being done for good

Luck retiring cost the Colts this season and likely next
though they can draft one of the top QBs next season, they also could have had Drew Lock instead of Rock Ya-Sin this year had they known Luck would retire.

This young man lived a dream as QB at a big school, #1 pick, some great stats....coulda been a real generational talent.....but that didnt happen.

He did make $96M or so over 6 years, which is kinda impressive.

If he worked 40 years, that would average @ $2.3M per.....but this kid put himself in a position to all that great lifetime earning in 6 years!

Before you call him a disparaging name, throw up your earnings history so we can understand your point of view.

How a man chooses to earn his living is a 100% personal choice. I imagine the injuries and the grind of training camp and an NFL season just hits differently when you've already made $100M. He is free to live his life as he pleases

Ok, he's a good dude and not, perhaps, a grade A *****. I let my hatred of everything Colts to allow me to pile on during their time of mourning.

**** the Colts! I just can't help it...

Shame he wasn't able to work through the injuries but when your head says its time to stop playing its time to hang em up. Couldn't have come at a worst time for the Colts.

With these high salaries, I'm surprised we haven't seen more guys retire in the prime of their lives and live Heinz-style
