Antonio Brown

He might have had issues but at least he was a functioning person. This is off the charts.
The Steelers kept him contained. With all the hoopla with CTE it’s easy to blame Burfict as a cop out for erratic behavior. From the sound of things this stemmed way back to when he got that big contract in 2012

It sure sounds like CTE, however, it's been said that this pattern of behavior has been around a looong time. In any event, a big middle finger to those in the media that said the Steelers were idiots for trading the guy. They've sure made some mistakes of late, but unloading that lunatic was not one of them.
Easy to use CTE as a cop out in these cases. Not denying he has it. He more than likely does, but it’s easier to use CTE in his favor. AB seems like the type of guy who was coddled and people kissed his *** everywhere he went

He was an out of control ******* back in college too

I've heard the Steelers kept a wrap on it spin. The alternative is they could have got a first plus for him before the post New Orleans blow up. All you had to say is there were differences between him and Ben.

Clark stated something to the effect after being told that if Wallace didn't accept the Steelers contract offer that they were going to offer the exact same contract to AB. Clark said that if you do that you will create a monster.....or something like that.

I remember. I also remember Clark saying training camp got heated because AB would mouth off at Lebeau

Needless to say, this was brewing even before Burfict’s hit

They chose him over the rest of the money crew.

Let Wallace walk.

Let Sanders Walk.

I am two fold. First he is a big tool and missed his opportunities. He is done. On the other side of the coin I do hope he gets some help for his well being and his family's. I will rag him from a football standpoint but as a human being I don't want to see him dead at a young age due to some underlying mental issues.

Maybe there’s more to this picture than your typical training camp scrum with all the stuff Clark spilled

Yep. After he signed his new deal. When training camp came around AB thought he deserved special treatment. The signs were there from the get go.

Wallace and Sanders had egos but were still team players. I don’t recall Wallace being a locker room diva his rookie season. I don’t recall any negative publicity from Wallace at all

Wallace turned the Steelers offer down. The Steelers then offered the same contract to AB. AB with multiple years left on his 6th round contract couldn't sign the deal fast enough.

Yes the guy needs help. The money and resources and multiple opportunities were there. He’s a lost cause now sadly.

If I thought that Brown was smart, I would think that this behavior is a shrewd move at a massive lawsuit against the NFL, The Steelers, The Bungles, and the NFLPA.

But Ryan Clark and others would likely testify that he has been a prick since day 1

And that said AB is a douche.
And really missed out on a lawsuit opportunity.
Given his ego and fast lifestyle it’s obvious he doesn’t think things thoroughly

I think first AB has to want to get help. Doesn't look like he does at the moment.

Espn will run a dramatic 30 for 30 on this guy soon.

A lawsuit opportunity? Really?

They were talking about Cooper Kupp's historic season today, and AB was mentioned. He actually has two out of the top ten all-time single seasons for receiving yards (1834 yards in 2015 is #4, 1698 yards in 2014 is #10). Nobody else has more than one appearance in the top 12.

Had Brown kept his head on straight, by now he'd probably be mentioned up there with Jerry Rice as one of the greatest receivers to ever play. What a shame.

I thought all AB's problems in the Burgh were Ben's fault. That's what most were saying when he cried his way out..
******* Ben and his ownership mentality.....all Ben has ever been is a simple...... game manager.

Why not? A lot of retired guys who need the money always attempt lawsuits. So yeah…really
So what is stopping him when he retires?
