You just know it's coming. No way will the league let it's new media darling go a year without his top receiver.

why is he a media darling?

No, I think it sticks, because of the DUI he just had. I think before that, he had a good chance of it getting reduced to 6-8 games, but the DUI threw that out.

I think it'll get reduced. Apparently he's passed something like 70 drug tests, and the only one that came up positive was trace amounts that could be attributed to second hand smoke. I think he gets out of it

Johnny Friggin' Football? Because 21 of every 24 hours is dedicated to him on football related programming.

my bad. i misinterpreted that
reading comprehension not one of my strong suits.
clearly

i don't think gordon gets out of, or even gets the suspension reduced though

The Ray Rice 2 game suspension was the worst thing that could happen to Gordon.

I agree, kind of like Ben R. being white, at the time of his ordeal. Ray rice's suspension reflects a need for a heavy hand, to get people to forget about the pigmy.
Rice not being more heavily sentenced, creates a new need for heavy discipline. Roger is taking care of that with Gordon.

Salute the nation

Josh is in a no win sitch because Goodell blew it with Rice.

Rice could work in his favor. The media kept harping on the fact that the NFL punishes for drugs so much harder than for domestic violence. It's too late for them to up Rice's punishment but they could close the gap by shortening Gordon's.

That would be absurd because the rules for substance offenses are clearly defined, but because Goodell is such a media *****, he may try to come up with some loophole so that he looks "fair" in handing out Gordon's punishment.

Agree with tape. The Rice situation may be the best thing that ever happened to Gordon.

Doesn't matter a whole lot if ya ask me. The guy reminds me of a up and coming Plaxico Burress, one thing after another untill he stands behind them vertical bars down at the big house.

* In 2006, Thomas was convicted of a felony for accessing a computer for fraudulent purposes
* He was suspended by Baylor in 2010 after he and a teammate fell asleep in front of a Taco Bell. Police found marijuana in the car.
* The following year, Gordon was suspended indefinitely from Baylor for failing a drug test.
* In 2013, Police say Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon was arrested and charged with driving while impaired after speeding down a street in Raleigh, North Carolina.
* The individual who paid for Gordon's bond was identified as Haydn "Fats" Thomas, authorities told WNCN. Thomas is a convicted felon who pleaded guilty to gun and drug charges in November.
* Gordon was suspended two games in the NFL for violating the league's substance-abuse policy.
* He was suspended four games last season, which he attributed to using codeine. On appeal, that was reduced to two games not playing and two games played without pay.
* In early June, Gordon pleaded not guilty to a speeding ticket. He was stopped for going 74 mph in a 60 mph zone on May 25. He was fined $187. His passenger was cited for possession of less than 200 grams of marijuana.

I'll bet even money he can't even spell stupid, let alone try to correct it.
