Ask Drunk Cope 12/18

Thanks Sask, I highly recommend a visit there sometime. Out there you do have an Iron Hill Brewery. I do like their food, and their beers are usually pretty good as well. That's Lansdowne area. Not sure where you are. What town?
Saskatchewan Canada. Actually we are on a spring like melt. May not have a white Christmas. I've been to Pittsburgh twice. Was quite impressed by it. Found the downtown quite similar to our own river front. Just a lot more big buildings.

Beautiful Sask. I may retire in your country!

A lot of beautiful states I personally been to the majority of them. Being a service brat and serving, and traveling for one reason or another afterwards. I think PA for the people, Colorado some areas for the scenic. Florida if you like soaking in sun. So many attractive states.

Still working that one out. I'm trying to hit a new state every year, and there are different things I like about each State:

VA: Richmond beer and art/ VA Beach, Beer and sun/ Colonial Wmsbg history
FL: Tampa there is a ton to do and loved spring training, Miami was a blast with the beaches and restaurants. love the keys for snorkling/scuba
NO: been there like 4 times. Just a party city
TX: Austin has great food, music, night life, and beer. Dallas was hospitable and fun
AZ love Sedona.
UT: The Parks Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce Canyon, Grand Staircase Escaalante. Plus the black sky at night. God's country
CA: San Diego has the weather, LA has a lot of fun, SF is great for culture, and food. Excellent beer all over the state
Like both Portlands, though ME has better food and beer, people are more laid back in OR.
WA Seattle is a great town, have friends on Bainbridge Is. Great food, music and lots to do.
Hit Juneau AK this year and it was an excellent trip. highly recommend.
You can't beat Hawaii though. If you go, take more than a week. It takes a long time to get there, so take your time there. Spent a week on the Big Island and another week on Kawaii. Really unique stuff
And yellowstone is like no other place on earth. All the natural beauty, wildlife, and steam based sites are unlike anything else.

If I had to do one over, I can't go wrong with HI, AK, or UT. Love me some Florida though too.

Oh, skiiing, I'm huge into VT. Killington, Stowe, Mt Snow, Jay Peak. I'd love to ski out west sometime soon though.

No white Christmas in Saskatchewan, that's blasphemous! Never actually been there (have quite a few customers there) but been to Niagara Falls (of course) and Ottawa, and Ottawa blew me away with the incredible & colorful buildings/architecture. And I've always found Canadians to be laid-back, down to earth people, and absolutely love the food up there. Only thing I don't really get is Poutine.

And thanks for the detailed & insightful response on Samuels and Washington, Cope.

I had a blast the only time I've been to Denver. It was actually for the Mile High Miracle that Flacco threw. I was sitting in the EZ he threw to. I actually root for the Rats when the Steelers are eliminated. My best friend was dating a girl from Denver at the time, and they hooked us up with Tix and a place to stay. We hit Oskar Blues while we were out there as well. Nice fun Brewery with free skee-ball and peanuts!

London Bridge kept falling down (taken down) now stands in Arizona. I tried hitchhiking thru there as a kid. Rough going...

Howdy Cope, Which INCLINE do you prefer to ride? I like going up the station square and walk up hill, overlook the two stadiums, then down the INCLINE by the point, If my memory serves me.

Your description of TOMLIN is a good one and I myself am up and down on him, pending on his performance. That said, realistically how long do you see him coaching the STEELERS yet??? I see 3-6 years.

I see JuJu being very productive and Washington working his way into a Nice receiver. How long do you feel AB / JuJu / Washington will be a trio threat, years in the league together on the same team?

Cope I love the "Drunk Cope" thread and thank you

Nice area. Close to Pismo, Solvang (if you're into little recreations of Danish towns) & Santa Barbara. I have to say, I hate California the state and lot of the people, but when I go to the harbor near me in San Diego and just spend the day BBQ'ng, fishing off the pier or just plain relaxing in a chair next to the ocean, not much else beats it for me.

San Diego is so different from LA. LA is a congested mess and gets hot in the summer so everybody is cranky. SD has some of the best weather in the world and is so spread out that it doesn't feel like a congested big city. Rationalizations I make to counter some of the insanity that is California.

Yeah like Danish towns. Always had good memories of Santa Barbara. Yeah I miss me some fishing. Liked that about Florida.

I only used to take the one closer to the point and that's good for scenery, but Station Square is the one to take. We stayed up on the overlook last NYE and it's close to food, drink, and shopping, so that is the most ideal to do those things.

Your description of TOMLIN is a good one and I myself am up and down on him, pending on his performance. That said, realistically how long do you see him coaching the STEELERS yet??? I see 3-6 years.

The Rooneys are not a knee jerk ownership. I think Tomlin has to show he lost the team to get fired quickly (which is far from the case), or has a few years of losing seasons with no sign of improvement. I think he'd be given a longer leash, if Ben retires, to develop Rudolph/ Dobbs.

With Ben, I think they are linked. As long as Ben is throwing here, Tomlin should be his coach. 2-3 more years.

I see JuJu being very productive and Washington working his way into a Nice receiver. How long do you feel AB / JuJu / Washington will be a trio threat, years in the league together on the same team?

JuJu is exceptional. he's a #1 on 75% of the teams in this league. We're lucky to have him AND AB. The slots getting back and healthy will be a big plus as well. Eli, Switzer, the TEs are all helping the O. Jaylen showing how dangerous he is out of the backfield, and can actually run polished routes is a plus. We just need Wash to make 2-3 plays a game to have an impact. Last game he did that. The first of the year. Hopefully it builds some more confidence in him, because he is that combat catcher that can really compliment JuJu and AB.

Anytime, I was wondering where you were tonight!

Finished some articles. As the Game Turns is published. Hidden Plays hits tomorrow. I'm going to do a cap class on Boz, and the podcast will record tomorrow morning.

3 to 6 years? **** I need to start drinking with Cope. Throw in some double shots.

I think he has as long as B EN stays playing plus 2-3 years, I should have been clearer. I'm not saying that's how long I'd keep him but just what I see.

I like 4 seasons. Pretty flat, agriculture area. 2 hours North lake country is as good as it gets if you like pristine wilderness. I've been to a lot of places in the U.S.. I like the ocean but as far as cities, me and my kids just kinda felt like Pittsburgh was a home away from home. It's the Steelers of course. Because it's like all these places you hear of, but they are super real. I think about Peppi's in the Strip District. Downtown.
I will say this. If you love this team you MUST go to a home game. The whole thing is magical.
