Ask Drunk Cope 12/18

if you like meaningless speaches that pretend to be grandiloquent, then yeah, tomlin is a great speaker

He's a lot more educated than you will allow yourself to accept.

;)

hey Cope do you remember the Steelers having better depth at WR?

remember when they went balls out with Hines Ward and Cedric freaking Wilson

Right now is probably the best depth they have ever had. Don't forget Randle El and Nate Washington. El was our 3rd down back and Nate had a nice career in Tennessee after he left us.

The thing I love about the steelers most recent pickups this season, was the attention the them all having good hands. We used to be hamstrung by Bryant, Coates, and Hamilton, who could catch, but had terrible hand placement, and dropped balls. All of the following have excellent hand placement: AB, JuJu, Washington, Samuels, Rogers.

Switzer does not have good hand tech, but he hasn't dropped much. Jessie James has great hand tech, and Vance has vastly improved. DHB is the only real questionable receiver that we have left on the team for hand tech.

In training camp, we had excellent hand guys as well. Tucker, Henderson, Patterson, and Griffey all had great hand placement.

So yes for catching the football, we have the best depth I've ever seen. You usually get some droppers past the first 3 receivers.

Hines, you ever had the Sierra Nevada brews? They have a good porter, nooner pilsner and summerfest but I stay away from the IPAs as well.

Yes, I've been very impressed with their german style brews lately. Nooner, Kellerweiss and Oktoberfest were all great German style brews. I'm not into their IPAs though, and I am not a fan of Pale Ales at all.

Widmer (vidmer) is a hefeweizen iike. I dont know the alcohol content and i dont see it on the shelves much I like wheat beers (leinies when im in WI) but shocktop is last on my list of wheats.

I know UFO is out there also. Wheats and whites are done well on the East Coast. Allagash is great at them.

Yeah absolutely, also good stuff. I honestly am more of a whiskey drinker than anything and my in-laws are self proclaimed wine snobs so its either gonna be whiskey or wine unless I'm out a bar or with a beer drinking group.

Nice, we have 2 chocolate peanut butter beers on the east coast: Purple Monkey Dishwasher by Evil Genius, and Sweet Baby Jesus by Duclaw. Battlefield Brewery in Gettysburg also did one, but only on tap. It's my favorite flavor combination on the planet!

Also I loved Stone in Escondito. Beautiful grounds and the most beautiful brewery I've been to. Greatest beer garden in the states!

My brother in law had his wedding rehearsal dinner all the way in the back of the gardens in a private area. It was pretty bad ***. Like I said before we used to be able to go down there and sit at the stainless steel outdoor bar counter for hours drinking beers and BSing with staff. Now Stone is just huge and super busy. They built an upper parking lot for the traffic going in that place.

Hey, today feels like a good day for drunk cope, this is how I'm drinking tonight, Black and Gold:

Litos,....... Thanks for representing the STEELERS from way down there. Are there a lot of "fans" there and do you see much STEELERS gear, just a curious question..........???

What do you do down there? Sounds interesting...
This is my country, I was born here. Though after 20 years of communism here everything that was great just isn't anymore and I feel more and more like an alien here. Next year I will probably migrate, I'm taking my daughter and my wife to try for a better place where there's social security and kids can grow normally playing outside and enjoying life as it should.

I have Portuguese nationality too as my father was born there and came here being just a 6 years old kid, so going to Europe would be an easy choice, what I don't like there is the lack of job opportunities, especially in my field: steel construction.

There isn't much of an American football culture, here sports passion goes first and foremost to Baseball (you know, Aparicio, Vizquel, Galarraga, Concepción, Santana,Cabrera, too many stars in the Big Leagues) then basketball, and then football (soccer).

Normally American football fans are people that studied college in the US and sports addicts like myself. Most people I've known are pats* fans as I guess they are who they saw winning all the time as they discovered the sport.

I fell for the Steelers as I lived watching that sick front 7 on D and Jerome Bettis on O destroying people left and right.

Also I decided as a young person I'd be a mechanical engineer dedicated to steel construction so it just fitted perfectly you know? Steel has been my way of earning my living for the last 10 years or so.

Kewl Beans Litos, I wish you well in your endeavors. If it were still the 1970s I'd strongly recommend relocating to PITTSBURGH because at that time it truely was the city of STEEL. Keep me in your loop and GOD bless.

No way to make it to the US ?

My prayers go out to you and yours, I hope you get somewhere safer for you and your family.

The only way would be asking for refugee status and I don't want to do that as I feel they could send me back , it would be like playing the lottery. I don't have the money to request a business Visa (I think $500k is needed for that) and don't have contacts with any company for a working Visa.

Maybe Canada is an option as I'm qualified for an Express entry working Visa. I really liked Montreal, great city, too bad they require french as a known language.

Sounds good. Sorry to hear you caught the plague.

I strained my back on Friday and it is still tight as hell. Would like to have a calm afternoon where the Browns blow out the Ravens and we destroy the Bengals. No stress, no jumping up and throwing stuff at the TV to make it worse. Is that possible?

Anything is possible, I'm rooting for it, but you can bet on stress today...

For back pain, I suggest a good whiskey. It's a vasodilator and muscle relaxer!

And I love Spicy food, Like insane spicy. I'm a 2M scolleville guy. I'm currently enjoying a habanero lollipop I got from my brother. It's spicy and leaving a nice calm burn.
