Ben's Done

y'all can feel any way you want for me I will keep on my black and gold/big Ben colored glasses and keep hoping they/he brings us to another championship.
Don't hold your breath. Hope in one hand and **** in the other, and see which one fills up first.

you know whats funny with the exception of maybe a couple of years of O'donnell, Ben right now today is still better than any QB we have had since Bradshaw. yet some of you don't seem to remember or maybe your just to young to have suffered through those years. if you think this is bad QB play you must have missed the years of Malone, Brister, Tomczek, ect, ect ,ect.
You are just seeing what you want. He is sub 80 passer rating with 4 tds to 4 int. No one on this roster much less historically could be playing significantly worse.

We won't win 4 more games the rest of the season, never mind the playoffs.
thats fine. I personally don't give a ****. we are not winning a superbowl this year regardless and as many before have said what difference is the win and loss record if you fall short of the superbowl.

As far as I am concerned we can go 1-16 let Ben pad his stats and go out on his terms he has earned that. i would also rather have a high first round draft pick instead of the same ole bullshit of Tomlin never having a losing record who gives a ****.

Yet you're hoping Ben brings you another championship. lol

When's he going to bring it? Next year when he's 40? Come to grips with reality.

If you would have paid attention to the Ben colored glasses that preceded my superbowl comment, you would have picked up on the point I was being fictitious. I hope I cleared that up for you.

You mean "facetious," guy. And it sure didn't sound that way.

Ben being a capable NFL quarterback is what's fictitious.

Seen all of it. And I'm watching it again. Ben has had a great career no doubt. But he isn't getting it done. Just because he is better than a collection of stiffs doesn't mean he isn't finished. The product on the field us bad. Really bad. Comparing him to a handful of ****** has beens doesn't change that.

They are averaging 15 offensive points per game. Ben is immobile, indecisive and inaccurate. It's a 50-50 game. You put Rudolph in to start next week so you can see if there is hope for a starter on the roster. You also have to give your OC a fair shake at someone running his offense with buy in. You fire Canada at the end of the year based on this???
If this is truly Canada's offense and not Mikey's, I'd fire him today, no need to wait for the end of the season.

I am never fine with losing or tanking. This roster has talent on it. If you aren't trying to give this team a spark as a coach they are a part of the problem. Not sure I agree with Ben deserving to finish the year out. He will forever be one of my favorite Steelers, he deserves props and a HOF jacket. But you put your best product on the field or at least try to.

I've always supported Ben. But I'm a Steelers fan first. When Troy was done he was done. You have to see if you have a long term answer on the roster and you have to see what the OC can do with th QB running the offense as intended.

No I meant what I said I was looking through imaginary glasses, and making a statement of winning a superbowl that anyone could see was not true.

If I was being facetious I would have said something like; Topseed thinks he is smarter than everyone else, but he makes about as much sense as a run over puppy.

See the difference. I hope you also see I'm ******* with you.

maybe Rodgers is done to because Ben's numbers are almost indentical as Rodgers sans 1 td pass
Not all yards are created equal. You either do nothing but look at the box score and pretend the numbers (outside the final score) matter or you are just being obstinate for the sake of being obstinate. Ben has hit the end of the road, it happens to all players. But, I will be fair in saying this: It isn't all on Ben, Tomlin and Canada can't coach for poop.

I don't think Ben is done, but I also don't think he's great at the moment. I don't think he trusts his OL so he's pressing, he's trying to call up on skills he no longer has.

No QB on this roster is going to fair much better behind this line. They need to chip more, they have to give him more time.

This is definitely his last year, and with what he has done for this franchise, you do not bench him. You let him make that call, and play out the year doing anything and everything to keep him Upright. Derek Watt could be really useful lining up with Harris and Ben, even in passing situations.

Look I know Ben is at the end of it, but the answer is not on our roster. This year is **** just like the many 8-8 seasons we had in Ben's prime that Tomlin and crew pissed away. I just PERSONALLY would rather let Ben play out his last year pad his stats then try and get a viable replacement for him in the off season. Hell who knows maybe we can make Rodgers a steeler next near.

Ben has earned the right to finish out his career this year playing. that is just my opinion.

Bullshit, guy. You've defended Ben from the start, and you continue to do so.

And you clearly don't understand the difference between those two words. Try again.

Ben's arm has never been the same after the elbow rebuild. Sure, he has racked up a bunch of yards in this short passing game but his deeper throws are weak, at best.
Not really, on a lot of his deep passes he's overthrowing receivers. The arm strength is there but not the accuracy.

The other part of this is do you really want to have him be embarrassed every week and get physically crushed three times a game? Is that how you want to end it?

Ok well understand these words ******* **** you and **** off. yes I have defended Ben and always will. I don't give two ***** about you or what you think. you're just being another ******* on an internet forum that is trying to sound smarter than you really are. now go **** off somewhere junior.

We will never get to another Super Bowl let alone win one as long as Shades is the head coach.
Mark it down.

So kind of you. Now go play with your Ben doll, Gramps. Before they turn out the lights.

Oh no not Tomzack. Tomzack and Kent Graham were my elementary days. I remember the late 90’s cause my life was Steelers, Pokenon, nintendo 64/playstation and professional wrestling

Look, I hate to break it to people, but this organization hasn't been relevant for about 5 seasons. Maybe more like a decade.

If Ben wants to play until the wheels completely fall off, just let him and wait for next year of the next regime or whatever.

I don't know what people think is behind "Door #2" with this organization. The coaching and GM work has been suspect for years. Ownership is just as happy with 12-4 as they are losing to bad opponents in the first round of the playoffs (in otherwords, they could care less as long as the revenue is flowing and their name is still revered).

In my opinion, Ben has had a huge number of faults but he carried us some years. There are games I remember that he won practically single handedly while Arians, Tomlin, Haley and other cast of characters didn't really do much to help.

I just don't know why people are upset. This team isn't that good. Get over it. If Ben plays and we win 6 games or if Rudolf plays and we win 8 what the **** does it really matter to anyone here? That can't possibly make a difference in your lives or in your fan experience or enjoyment. Has anyone REALLY been a happy fan in any recent season with this team for a while? I mean honestly excited about anything? About the future or potential or watching teamwork and enjoyment from the players/fans?

In all honesty, with this regime in place, only a complete terrible season (like 3-14) and having the #1 pick and a great quarterback fall into their lap can really help mask the ineptitude of what we are stuck with. So quit bitching about losing or Ben Roethlisberger. That might be our only hope out of the mess that is heading our way.
