Guy who rents the business condo next door to me has hens, he normally charges $3/doz. They normally start laying in earnest about this time of year in the northeast. Asked what he planned on charging this year, he said price will remain $3/doz because feed price hasn't changed, so egg price will not change.

But I will tell you what does change, his tune.

He brought in his first harvest for sale this week and the price was $4/doz, even though feed prices haven't changed. That's a 33% price hike over what he promised. Even the little guys gouge when they can.

I hope you told him "no thanks"

I should have clarified. I only eat the egg whites. No yolks. High in protein, low in carbs, cholesterol. Great filling breakfast.

I eat 7 egg whites a day. Every day.

Eh, the cheapest I've seen in a store this week was $6/doz. I wasn't happy, but I'm not paying 50% more to prove it.

When store prices are cheaper than his prices I'll stop buying from him..... what's good for the goose....
