Blount Leaves Field Before Game Is Over

We don't even know what led up to this. I don't get how anyone can have the opinion he should not be released given our ignorance.

Those who DO know and are in a position to make those decisions decided to release him. Coupled with the reports and last night's incident, that's good enough for me; that's my opinion.

Next man up.....Blount won't be unemployed long..he can help a team that needs a RB.

Well.. if Bell can continue to carry the rock 25-30 times a game then who needs a 2nd RB. But I for one will be interested to see what Dri Archer can do closing out a football game running against a tired defense in the 4th quarter.

Sounds like a fumble to me....

If there is a running back that should be released, it should be Dri Archer, it most definitely is not Blount. He's pissed off and wants to contribute. And I'm sure he will get his opportunity soon.

Huh??? What has Dri done wrong when he's been asked to run the ball??? Fumble? Get stopped in the back field after a 7 yard loss (in the REDZONE mind you)?

Help a brother out and make your statement clear...

If so it'll only be for a 1 year deal for the remainder of this season, he'll be facing a suspension next year to start the season.

this dumping makes it 5 teams in 6 years now for him

he's a headcase fuckup

good riddance

Interesting, because Foster said on his show that the Coach made them aware of the situation in the locker room. Maybe Ben didn't catch it.
Just to finish up on this now that Blount was released....IIRC Ben said HCMT spoke about "something" in post game remarks but Ben wasn't exactly sure what he was talking about at the time, then later figured out it was Blount. Foster and the Oline must have known Blount walked out prior.

Remember this was on the 11am radio show that has caused controversy before with mixed messages, so Ben probably trying to be diplomatic.

I'm talking about the people who say he shouldn't be released.

Last night must have been the "straw that broke the camels back". Something else must have been going on.

pick tate for the rest of the year

Unless LB will be a featured back for a desperate team, why would any team gamble with a loose cannon right now? He can and probably will get picked up, but I'd have to be up against the wall to even consider him, talented or not.
I was for the signing and thought he could contribute here as a 1-2 punch with Bell, but that certainly blew up in our faces. What a cluster.

Well, there goes the 1-2 punch. Totally agree with letting him go, though.

Look for a 3rd or 4th rd running back next draft. Need someone to start the season.

No way Arians wants Blount.

The team is doing just fine without him.
Blunt didn't play for The Bruce here. I would just give the ball to Will Johnson more when Bell needs a break. At least he practices on offense full-time, unlike Deebo.

I'm anxious to see if Harris can contribute anything. I'm sure he will get some carries against NO.

He must have been a complete dick for a long time. Good riddance. Buh bye

Blount has done everything in his power to wreck his NFL career. Looks like he may have done it.

Ben, on his 11am radio show, didn't necessarily put up any defense in support of Blount.
Basically said he didn't know exactly what happened yet, had to find out today but that type of conduct wasn't the Steelers way.

so if you were not aware of what happened how would you know something was not the steelers way? Sounds like a poor thought out response to avoid the question, and very likely that is all we will here of it.
