Blount released..

Well, let me restate (again) in for you a more relevant context. Belichik has about as much control over Alfonzo Dennard's decision to get drunk and jump behind the wheel of his car (twice), as Tomlin had over Bell and Blount's decision to spark one up on the way to the mall. Which is none.

Again, in case you actually missed the point and are not just ignoring it, the point is that all teams have to put up with the stupid off field ****, including the Pats*.

YOU quoted Skott's post and put in boldface the part about the players respecting the coach. YOU insinuated that Belichick's players don't respect him, but the examples are very different. Off-field decisions involving models and strippers have nothing to do with disrespecting the coach, whereas getting caught with marijuana two hours before the team plane's departure, or walking out on the team before a game is over are sure signs of a lack of respect for your job and your boss (aka Mike Tomlin).

The point is there is a clear difference; you shouldn't lump it all together in one category, yet you continue to do so.

And that offended you. For that I'm truuuuly sorry. How dare anyone say anything bad about Belichik. I did, however, provide you with the example of Alfonso Denard to make up for it.

In any event another way to look at Blounts actions is that he's a selfish individual and not truly a team player. That's my opinion. Yours appears to be that it's Tomlin's fault. Opinions are like ... well, I'm sure you get the drift.

Btw, I did make a correlation between Lynch's answering reporters statements with "yeah" or "No" and Belichik's "We're moving on to Cincinnati" answers. You may want to jump on over there and defend Belichik's honor some more.

I keeed. I keeed. :D

Actually, it didn't offend me about Belichick at all. I just found it laughable that you would consider one of his players "fathering a child out of wedlock and marrying another chick" to be such a hardship for any NFL coach to "put up with."

My opinion is that Blount's actions showed a great deal of disrespect for the head coach, whereas most of your other examples didn't. I actually agree with Tomlin's choice to cut him -- wrong again.

Sorry, it's not my intention to follow you around from thread to thread, but your Lynch/Belichick correlation sounds a whole lot more sensible than anything you've come up with in this one.

See, the problem here is that you have decided to only focus on the "fathering a child out of wedlock" part of the statement(s). Whereas my point was that none of these coaches have any real control over what these players do with/on their own time. Think Pettine wishes he could've locked Manziel in his apartment Friday night? I do. But, that's just one guy. These coaches/organizations have to worry about 63 players. It's just too difficult of a proposition to ask these coaches to monitor the behaviors of 63 grown *** men away from the facilities.

As far as Blount leaving the game early. I see it as the actions of a spoiled, "me first", selfish player. Was it disrespectful? Sure it was; to Tomlin, to the organization, to his teammates and even to us fans. Some of you make it seem like Tomlin was the only one disrespected by Blount's actions, and that to me is erroneous. But, I can see how that could happen "IF" (notice the "IF") a person were one of the people who get so fixated on Tomlin and his faults, real and imagined, that everything that ails or befalls the team is a reflection on him.

I focused on that part of your statement because it was ridiculous. You don't have to read anything else into it.

You focused on that part because you had no way to respond to the others that would allow you to go off on a rant. I don't really read anything into much you have to say. But again, I thank you for keeping me in your thoughts.

I focused on that part because it was ridiculous. I did, in fact, respond to your Gronkowski example later on, because it was almost as ridiculous. I told you not to read anything else into it, but you refuse. OK. Whatever, guy.

You seem to have trouble understanding simple statements, so you can have the last comment on the matter if you'd like, since my thoughts seem to give you some type of strange arousal. I'm out.
