The whirlwind of rumors surrounding Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is officially over.

BREAKING: According to my sources.. @AaronRodgers12 will officially be returning to the Green Bay Packers.

There is no deal in place currently but there is said to be a Cap Friendly deal on the way.

Retirement was a real consideration & in the end

While the pipe dream of Rodgers suiting up for the Pittsburgh Steelers was fun, this was always the best move in the end for the future Hall of Fame quarterback. Now onto the next round of theories and rumors on who the Steelers will sign/trade/draft. Who do you think it will be #SteelerNation?

Reports are 4 years, 200 million. 153 mill guarantee. May be cap friendly this year but good luck with that. Not to mention probably franchise tag Adams at close to 19 million and they are reportedly 20 something over the cap right now before tagging Adams then need to resign him next year.

I wonder if the rumour mill churns out Steelers are interested in Jordan Love now lol

200 million of which 153 million dollars guaranteed for a 39-year-old QB for 4 years is the definition of insanity. He was just using the trade rumors to force the Packers' hand. I thought Green Bay was 26 million over the cap and they still have to sign Davante Williams or Tag him for 18 million a year. Are they going to have to release half the team to accommodate that? I know if I was Jordan Love I would be looking for a trade out of Green Bay. Wow, INSANITY.

we dodged that bullet.
Honestly do you really think we dodged the bullet? That bullet probably missed us by a mile. I would love to know what was actually true and wasn't. If true. It probably meant we were/are going to try very hard to fix our OL through FA... Which personally I would rather bring in some guys that can actual block than bring in a old QB for $200 mill. How quality OL players can we actually sign for $200 mill?

Umm....on to Wilson now? Let the articles start anyways.

Even if it was far-fetched, even if it weren't for 50M avg but say 30M, we dodged that freaking bullet.

We would lose a lot of draft capital plus practically 30% of our cap if structured to only eat 10M in the first year. So as you say, no OL, no CB, no DL to build the team

As another poster said, bring the Jordan love rumors
But, how bad must Jordan Love suck for them to annually capitulate to Rodgers? If they thought Love was the next guy in GB, they wouldn't waste years with the old guy.

GB FO are idiots…..he had a contract already renegotiated to let him be a FA in 2023. They have a QB who they can allow to start. Should have tied up their WR and get stronger on D.

Santonio holmes syndrome… we were going to move on from Holmes after the 08 season and trade him, but he made that catch and the FO decided they couldn’t take the PR hit so they kept him and traded him for much less after the next season when his value took a hit

They couldn’t justify letting Arod walk after a mvp season… not even for a glut of picks

Though id bet nobody offered more than one first

They clearly aren't stock traders, sell high and buy low

This could still be the first step of a trade. Rodgers under contract has more value than trading for him and having to negotiate.

He pulled the ol move on bluff to get that contract ballooned and they complied.

I wanted the guy but not for that guaranteed portion.

I hear exactly what you are saying slash, like I said earlier............... makes me appreciate BEN all the more for not doing any of this.

Aaron was after money and with his retirement publicity it worked.
