Bye Bye Playoffs

The brown crayola is responsible for everything Steelers - you've been here long enough to know how this goes...

Did you just start following the NFL? Head coaches get blamed for teams underachieving. Really, it happens. Some even lose their jobs.

Ben was ******, but we've seen how many games like this under Tomlin, we have a hot passing game and we run 13 out of 20 plays, put the ball in your qbs hands and set the run up with the pass.

I could see that happening.

The Jets-Bills game is in Buffalo. Ryan would like nothing better that to knock the Jets out of the playoffs.

And the Browns, like the Ravens, would like nothing better than to knock us out of the playoffs. Johnny Manziel could have the game of his life against this defense.

They just beat Tom Brady... you think they're going to let Tyrod Taylor beat them?.. not happening.

Hope so

...but this Steelers defense will get torched in the playoffs. The offense can put up the points but there are too many holes on the defense

I see a Jeopardy answer arising from this Steelers team ...

Alex Trebek: "This NFL team gave up career high passing yardage to A.J. McCarron, Johnny Manziel, and Ryan Mallett ... all in one humiliating season."

Contestant 1: "Who are the Browns? No? Wow .."

Contestant 2: "Who are the Titans? No. Hmm, tough one."

Contestant 3: "Who are the Chargers? No? Wow, **** me."

Alex Trebek: "No, the 2015 Pittsburgh Steelers."

All Contestants: "Jesus, how did that @#$%ing group win 9 games??"

I will be a big Bills fan next week despite the odds against it.

This one is on Tomlin if for no other reason than not having his team ready to play. I wasn't able to see the game since we were blessed with the Browns-Chiefs game but how many passes did Blake give up today? When you have a subpar player who is in the game you have a coaching problem, not a player problem. I don't blame lousy players for playing a lousy game - I blame the guy who put them in that position.

And then a mysterious "groin injury" in the 2nd. Just when it's safe to put Boykin in and protect that ******* conditional pick.

Well, you don't have to play him at all next week Mike. **** it. Put the practice squad in.

too much talent on this team to constantly fall short

if it was just a year here and there I would say otherwise

but they are consistently underachieving

This one and many others.

I ask anyone who wishes to defend Tomlin, name the surprising wins his teams have had. Vs. the Ravens with Batch? What others?

Now name all the surprising losses under Tomlin. I'll spot you the 2 vs the Ravens this year.

Did you think the Steelers would let Mallett - or Clausen - beat them?

Brady and the Patriots half-assed it the whole game. It started with deactivating a bunch of key players and culminated with the coin-toss "mistake" in overtime. I started a thread on it a few minutes ago.

Just more BS from the Brady Bunch.

Steelers shouldn't have been in position for it to happen.

I mean you're talking about two totally different defenses. We have one of the worst, Jets have arguably the best.

Jets aren't allowing Taylor to gash them like our defense allows consistently ever week.

The fans care more than the Steelers effort today. I guarantee my wife and used up more energy than the team. How we allowed a QB in camp what a week pick our pockets is inexcusable.

The decision to ride with Blake so long hurt this team more than anything.

The decision not to bring in a outside corner and FS was another horrible decision.

Playing down to bad teams, horrible game planning.

There is a bad decision pattern ..........

We have to win on the road, and hope KC and the Jets lose.
I think the Chiefs would still get in.

I think we need to the Bills to win......
