Bye Bye Playoffs

Lots of blame to go around here:

1) Tomlin and the coaching staff for not preparing the team for what was going to be a tough opponent. Records mean nothing when it comes to division rivals. Everyone knows this. Apparently Tomlin doesn't.

2) the defense. Ryan F'n Mallet and Buck Allen. Seriously??

3) Ben. He flat out sucked today

4) the WR's. Dropped too many passes that they wouldn't otherwise. Bryant has been a letdown

5) the playcalling. Shotgun from 1st and goal from the 1. That is all you need to know

You lose to a hapless opponent after dropping 30 + against the top 2 D's in the league, you deserve to stay home

I blame Bruce Arians.

Cover 2 baby!!!!

terrible play by Ben and incredibly bad coaching have put the team where they are...just hoping Buffalo can win next week.

so they can limp in as a 6 seed and go through a 1 and done? Unfortunately, they are doing just enough for Tomlin to keep his job and not enough to have any significant success.

Total lack of urgency by this team. lately we lose those games at beginning of season that requires us to win out to get to the playoffs and we just aren't a complete team for this. Yes beating the Colts, Bungals and Denver was exciting but we lay an egg when you have the playoffs in sight against a tem we should beat BUT Baltimore had greater desire. Steelers had a fan base show up in Baltimore but they showed no getty up go.

If that isn't coaching I don't know what is.

And I would love to know who really gets the last say between Colbert and Tomlin...

Because whoever that person is they need to go.

If I was a betting man I would say Tomlin.

true...
but another thing that has cost this team is arrogance and ignorance. When a coach is as arrogant as some of the athletes, it's never a good sign. No accountability and no common sense...

OK...I'm gonna try and be done being pissed and posting on the stupidity of our organization and how ****** up they actually are.

Breathe buddy breathe lol. Looking back at the game I'm kinda hoping the Steelers do miss the playoffs to save us from another post season heartache

The ravens were ready to play. The Steelers were not.
This was the ravens Super Bowl. This was the Steelers opportunity to obtain the 6th seed.
This is now a successful season for the ravens by beating the Steelers twice and very well costing the Steelers the playoffs.
A unsuccessful season for the Steelers, despite finishing 8-8 or better under Tomlin.
Yet again the Steelers have to depend on help from another team instead of controlling their own destiny.
The ravens destiny was determined long ago.
The ravens have 0 chance at the playoffs. The Steelers chances are pretty low. But still a chance.
High probability that the Steelers, like the ravens, will be watching the playoffs at home.

Can you hear the disappointment in my "voice"?

There's a back door in even if the Jets win. And that's if the Broncos lose twice....and if Steelers don't get embarrassed by Johnny Foosball.

Broncos ain't losing to the Bolts at home

I could never hope for that...even tho it would be easier on me/us as fans...

go STEELERS! fire Tomlin, get rid of cover 2, snap ball with more then 3 secs on play clock....

ok...I'm done...

I will never hope the Steelers miss the playoffs. I doubt you hope that either. I really don't expect them to go far if they do make it. But if they win even one playoff game, I would be set up for hearbreak if they lost.

I hope they win every game as a fan. As a realist though this team is not built for a playoff run. I like the offense and know with Ben they have a chance. I'd rather them accept the position they are in and re tool at some positions for the off season. There is one thing you got to love about the Steelers is they build up an absolute contender little by little

And if the Jets and Broncos both lose their remaining games (along with the Steelers beating the Browns, which is a big IF at this point), my dream for the #5 seed, incredibly, is still alive.

Guess I'm rooting for the Bengals tomorrow night.
