Christmas Day Games Thread

Really really terrible?

I tell you that OC in ratland has really done a good job with Lamar.

Amazing what a good coach can do...

Well they're not doing anything magical. They run to set up the pass. It just happens to involve the qb a lot in the running game.

The defense was really the star last night. Just totally took the wind out of them. Five total ints will do that.

Yeppers, Purdy came down a little.

The Rats could put up 50+ on us, if they decided to.

Our $.05 OL coach couldn’t by discounted penny candy.

For all the media that worships Tomlin they should give a ton more credit to Harbaugh in my opinion. He has done just as well as coach T with alot less talent than Tomlin. Always neck and neck with Pittsburgh, even in the Ben killer B years. He's had some great players but Tomlin has had a ton more talent and pedigree than the Ravens have had to work with. Especially at WR and RB. The Ravens have always been game and nobody ever wants to play them in the playoffs.
Hate to admit it but Lamar is a great QB in his own way and seems like a likeable guy/ good teammate. I wouldn't be surprised to see them win it all, but it would be poetic to see Flacco and the Browns eliminate them at home. I can't believe it but I am 100% rooting for the AFC north to get to the superbowl.
Mahommes has won enough rings,I don't think the Bills are championship worthy, and I can't stand Tyreek Hill.

I do not want the Ravens to win it all. **** that.

Last time I looked we only have one division loss still. Some teams are a very bad match up for us, others I think we can compete with. KC is very beatable. They have a weak running game, bad Oline, and no WRs. We have beat the Ravens once that game could go either way. I think we are a horrible matchup against Miami and would probably get destroyed. Jax has not looked good lately. We already got crushed by the Colts and Texans, but the Browns would be another winnable game. I would just rather see us make the playoffs than not, regardless of the outcome.
I watch some of these games and tgey still appear to be playing a different game.

Slow down on the talent. Baltimore almost always has an excellent roster as well. Where the Steelers have had better receivers, Baltimore has had great offensive and defensive lines and a good stable of RBs.

Tomlin: 171-100-2 .630
Harbaugh: 159-98 .619

Tomlin: 7 division titles in 17 years
Harbaugh: 5 (including this year) division titles in 16 years

Tomlin: 10 playoff appearances; 8-9 record
Harbaugh: 11 playoff appearances (including this year); 11-9 record

Tomlin: 4 out of 17 seasons with a playoff win
Harbaugh: 7 out of 16 seasons with a playoff win

Tomlin has been better in the regular season, Harbaugh better in the postseason.

Jackson making the defense look foolish. His mobility is the difference in this game. They can’t sack him and it is giving the WR’s time to get open. If they aren’t SB favorites with a win tonight, I don’t know who is.
This is so true abut Jackson...

What's amazing is the kind of success the Steeler have had defending him over the years..
They really do a great job schematically against Jackson.

The guys record against NFC teams is 20-1!
That says alot bailout how difficult it is to prepare and to defend him....especially if you rarely play against him.

I dont recall Jackson ever making the Steelers look like amateur's like he did last night to the supposedly great defense of the 9ers..

Earlier this season if Baltimore's receivers didn't drop a ton of passes. Multiple TD passes dropped and probably a good 70+ yards worth of passes.

Yeah...always what ifs .....right?

My point is that overall we haven't let Jackson dominate like he did last night.

If fact....when our defense is healthy, I would bet he does not like playing against the Steelers.

If the Steelers do miraculously win the next 2 and we face them in the first round...we will be in their heads..

Purdy was exposed...Big Time!
Imagine him behind the Steelers O-LIne and playing the Ravens twice a year!

At least Kenny has beaten that team.

Baltimore has had talent but not the level Tomlin has had. When did Harbaugh have the 2 best skill guys in the league, Brown and Bell and a first ballot HOF QB on the same field? Harbaugh has had great players, but guys like Tomlin had, Troy, TJ, Harisson, Brown Bell, these guys are once in a coaching career level talent.

Lamar is a former MVP and they’ve had All Pro talent on defense. Baltimore has probably drafted better than the Steelers for much of the past decade.

Harball had Ray the stab, ray the women beater, Ed Reed (many ******** think he is even better than Troy, for ***** sake), a shitload of super talented linemen, Ngata, ogden , yanda, non stop top TEs of the league, a couple of really good CBs too.

The Big difference maker is Ben

he was ok .....I guess ............. but he was no mitch trubisky

It's been on my mind since we beat the Bengals, beat the Seahawks to help out Green Bay.

If the Seahawks win out it isn't the end of the world for the Packers, but yes, a Seahawks loss to the Steelers would greatly help the Packers get in. So, yes PackerNation as a whole are huge Steelers fans this week as you guys face Seattle.
:help:

The Packers need to handle their own business and win the last two or no other game will matter. Most likely the Packers will be the ones to crush my soul, not the Steelers.

Playoffs? Are you kidding me? Playoffs?! I just hope we can win a game.:beers:

Is this a joke? Anybody is taking Purdy over Kenny.
Purdy had four bad games this year, with last night being the worst and we get "exposed." Meanwhile, he has 29 TDs and 11 INTs, including last night's disaster with 4 INTs. He has 8 games with 2+ TD passes this year and only 6 games with at least one INT. Purdy has 2 4 TD games this year. Pickett has 6 TDs on the season. I wish our QB could put up a half of Purdy's production.

Yes the stats say he had a bad game ..... but the only INT I would have been upset over was the one in the end zone area .......the others ..tipped ball with lucky bounce that he made the tackle on .............. another tipped ball ....... lucky bounce ............ and the last one he had McCaffrey in the flat and his arm was hit when the pocket started to collapse

I wish we had a QB with half his poise ..... not sure why people hate on him so much ..... other than jealousy for being successful while having no big pedigree to boast about ..
That team fell apart without him last year in the playoff game ..........and after his surgery he has continued to be successful this year
