I was thinking about Tomlin’s statement yesterday about Claypool/Freiermuth basically playing the same role. I really liked the idea of a big bodied slot receiver like Claypool in the slot. I think a better offensive coordinator would’ve found a better way to exploit the mismatches that both he and Muth presents to a defense. This was never the case-of course Claypool played smaller than his body and really wasn’t too much to worry about. I hope the Steelers took note of how Steichen of the Eagles used AJ Brown and would think to now use Pickens/Boykin in the same manner.

Imagine an offensive coordinator not figuring out how to use both those guys.

Tomlin hand picked Canada as his OC. He thought Canada has what it takes to compete for a super bowl. Major misjudgement.
