Claypool to Chicago for 2nd Rounder

Any word on whether it is what will be the higher or lower of the Bears 2nd round picks?

If it’s the lower and the season ended today, the Steelers would have 3 picks in the top 45.

Bears second round pick should be top 40. But I would have sent DJ at this point. I would guess either Rudolph or Trubisky are next if they can find a dance partner. Could see Heyward go if they decided to really do a fire sale.

I understand it's the Ravens' second round pick.wrong. it's the Bears second

The Steelers should have called yesterday and offered Claypool and Bush for Smith

Smith is a free agent after the year and will cost a ton to sign. I don’t think the Steelers can pay that much for an ILB. Have to wonder if ravens plan to sign him or if they are just hoping to go for a SB this year

    Chase Claypool

Bears acquired WR Chase Claypool from the Steelers for a 2023 second-round pick.

Albert Breer reports it is the second-round pick that the Bears acquired from the Ravens for Roquan Smith

This to me points to a FULL rebuild.

Claypool has been one of the most consistent producers as of late (which aint saying much), so getting rid of him with an already struggling offense means that the front office is indicating that we are not even close.

I also find it interesting that they took away a weapon for the rookie QB. Definitely not a strong 'buy' signal for him.

Just watching NFL channel. They originally said it was the Ravens pick then switched and said it was the Bears pick.

Hopefully just traded fclqypool for best olineman available

Ian Rapoport says it is Chicago's second-rounder.

who knows lets hope Rapoport is right

Non report chiming in we have a 50/50 chance of it being true.

It better be the Bears pick. If they can get a top 10 or even hopefully a top 5 pick this year, it will be huge for the rebuild. They could easily get rebuild the OL and DL in the 1st 3 rounds by using 3 of the 4 picks on big uglies. The 1st two picks should definitely be on big uglies (by far our biggest needs with how bad we are and with how many guys will be gone in a year to retirement or free agency).

Steelers need OL & DL. Linemen are so often overlooked but they are the difference in whether a team is competitive or not. The hogs on both sides of the football need to be replaced. Then and only then will this team be competitive. Don't believe me just look at The Bungles.
