Claypool to Chicago for 2nd Rounder

Steelers need OL & DL. Linemen are so often overlooked but they are the difference in whether a team is competitive or not. The hogs on both sides of the football need to be replaced. Then and only then will this team be competitive. Don't believe me just look at The Bungles.
As I've been saying, we needed to use our top 3 picks on Big Uglies. Now, we can use 3 of our top 4. If we pick in the top 10 or even top 5, we should get an all pro in round 1 and legit starters with the other 2.

Good move. Solid. Bears are going to be middle-of-the-pack at best, so pick will be top 15. Since the Dolphins don't have a 1st round pick, the Steelers are going to have 3 of the top 46 picks in the draft.

Maybe we can trade Trubisket back to the Bears for the other second round pick.
JUST KIDDING!

I know on paper this feels like it hurt the team. I am not so sure it will. It forces some changes on offense. It can't get much worse. Can it?

Let’s see how much y’all are celebrating this move the next time the Steelers need to throw the ball on 4th and goal!
Only in the 4th quarter

Meh like I said this was stupid.. they undersold on him… the Steelers front office continues to make utterly illogical moves… once it was tge best front office in the sport… the last decade it’s been one of the absolute worst…. The only way this makes sense is if he was a locker room distraction and if thats tge case for the umpteeth wr in a row, then Tomlin best be out the door next

Sims played OK in this past game at WR. He may be the guy since he has the speed.

Not sure I follow- because the Bengals had one of the worst O-Lines in the game last year and made it to the SB lol. KC also is known for having a bad line.

I think in todays game- exceptional QB and WR play can largely overcome poor line play. This aint your daddy's 'ground-and-pound' era.
There is some truth to that. But good QB play and WR play cant overcome bad line play and a terrible scheme/playbook.

There are some news stories that are claiming he was deemed a distraction and have been wanting to move him for a while now.

this is a cap decision too, dont forget. With DJ in the books and Pickens showing ability to be a true #1 there wouldn't be enough money to sign Claypool too. Let's keep in mind that Claypool can't hight point a falling balloon or run a good route tree, he is just useful as a slot WR in possession downs

I’ve been hoping to see more Steven Sims. He’s a good receiver that just needs a chance and looks like he’s going to get it.
Good speed and good hands so hope he can run solid routes for Kenny to depend on.
That gives us Pickens, Deontae, Sims, Freirmuth, Boykin and Gunner.
I’m fine with this receiver corp for this year. Next year we can add the speedster Cal Austin to the mix plus you know they will draft another WR but hopefully not until later I’m y try he draft.

Right but he is not a ufa next year… we could have waited till the draft and gotten a minimum of a second… there aint **** on the UFA wr market save for some old dudes
