Colin Cowherd: “The standard in Pittsburgh used to be winning Super Bowls. Now [under Mike], it's, uh, they had never had a losing season".

*** Hey guys. Needle dick keeps deleting my topic. For those that are getting tired of his woke, liberal censorship, I suggest you start getting noisy and start pushing back. This is OUR forum, not his! Don't let 'Old Busch Lite' decide what's ok for us to discuss and what's not.

Step down and go ride that horse, Tex. We don't need you.

After a Pro Football Focus rankings sparked plenty of reaction across the Pittsburgh Steelers fanbase and media outlet, one of the publication's writers is speaking out.

The controversial list placed Steelers' Mike Tomlin as the 13th-best head coach in the NFL. The rankings came through the Pythagorean wins theorem, which we still don't seem to understand. But, regardless, it instantly caught fire for how low it placed Pittsburgh's leader.

Now, one of PFF's top writers, Steve Palazzolo, says sometimes the publication gets a little too deep into analytics. And, sometimes, you have to place blame on the writer.

"It was a lot easier when PFF was like, six of us," Palazzolo said on 93.7 The Fan. "People go rogue. Do whatever the want. They can interpret the data differently."

"I think it's time to start blaming Connor," he added.

Connor McQuiston is the writer being referred to, who wrote the recent rankings on PFF.

"Tomlin's a good man," Palazzolo said. "Obviously, he's been good and done well in lesser situations. He's done well in every situation. I don't know what the criteria was. I will say, I do think there's something with the, we'll call it the 'nerd factor' on Twitter. Those who are really deep in the analytics, who seem to focus a lot on fourth-down decisions, and maybe only the things you can see."

Tomlin has never been known for his analytic side of football. Where he has shined is pulling teams up from nothing, never having a losing record and bringing teams with players like Devlin Hodges at quarterback to the edge of a playoff run.

"Sometimes, it's as simple as wins and losses, and if you win more games, you're probably a good coach," Palazzolo said. "So, Mike Tomlin lands in the 'good coach' bucket. And Tomlin has certainly won a lot of games over the past 15 years."

Girl, don't go away mad
Girl, just go away

I was actually thinking about going to their stadium show in August.
Great band but I think you missed the point. Your opinions are not really the problem it is your childish antagonistic attitude and over the top attacks. We give each other **** but you have to earn that right and know the proper tone. You have not earned that right and certainly don't take the proper tone. We have one giant douche bag already in Coolie and he is all we need. We accept and honor it in him as he has earned it.

We won't take back OUR forum with weakness. Let's make ourselves heard. If "he" doesn't like it, he can go play with his lasso and talk the Texans with others that he might be a better fit with.

No guys really, if I want to neglect my family and spend all my free time on the internet pushing my opinions on others, I can. F'n derrrrrr

Time to take your balls out of his purse. You've been brainwashed into thinking he has earned the right to push his thoughts on you. He hasn't. He doesn't get to control what you, I, or anyone else has to say. This is OUR forum.

Thank you for providing the prefect example of exactly what I am talking about.

The subject matter of your original post doesn't belong in the football forum anyway. It belongs in the politics and Religion forum. Many of our members are here for pure football not to get into racial and political discussions. You are welcome to join in the much more lightly moderated politics forum and take your lumps there. Keep that **** out of the football forum.

Politics and religion? Uh. No.

When someone posts that Tomlin is "a top 5 coach" does that belong in some other section of the forum? No it doesn't and neither does this. Don't be brainwashed into thinking your freedom of speech doesn't matter. Nothing political or religious about it.

Cowherd is a ******* moron, but he was mostly right on this.
He was definitely one of the first in the national media years ago to start calling Tomlin into question. He coined the term “unbuttoned” to describe the Steelers under Tomlin. Year in and year out.

This isn't a democracy, or a democratic republic. It's a moderated forum, and you clearly don't understand how it works. People might share an opinion you espouse, but nobody wants to engage in the douchebaggery which are your posts.

I agree Tomlin has been nothing more than above average. I feel he should have been in the hot seat for a long while but the minkahs contract is spot on

AKA “I’m a whiney Karen and I lash out at those that don’t share the same opinion.” Weak, bro. Guess who we know who you voted for.

To everyone else, we won’t take back our forum with weakness. Justin might count the ad revenue and Cookie might be a loud mouth with an opinion, but this is OUR forum and they answer to US! Not the other way around.

Don’t forfeit your Liberty to some goon with a ban button. This is OUR team, OUR forum, and they are here for US! Remember that ..

Agree with both you and Sojourner. So why the hell is this goon still here? On a positive note, something tells me Ol’ Jibber Jabber is about to get exposed hard this season.

Any other team and this *** hat would have been gone years ago!

There is no expectation of freedom of speech on a private forum only from governmental limitations. Justin and his moderators decide what is and isn't acceptable and you have no say in the matter. If you don't like it you are free to hit the road. Particularly if you are not financially contributing to this board. You went from a football topic to a political topic by the reasoning you used for the change of ranking. Feel free to discuss that, just do it in politics forum.

Ahh. I see. You might benefit from turning off CNN and recognizing the fact that your rights are being g taken away. Not only in the real world, but on a Steelers message board as well.

You might be ok with some ignorant Texan telling you what is and what isn’t ok, but I know myself and others who have messaged me with their support aren’t! OUR forum, not theirs. We will tell them what we’re going to discuss!

Truth is that there's not really that many options better. All current HCs make blunders that make me cringe, at least Tomlin is a great leader, he is our Ted lasso, he just needs to surround with better x & o's guys, he needs to check his ego and accept he needs help there

C’mon guys! You can’t confront tyranny with weakness! Are you really going to allow some guy that doesn’t know when to use capital letters and punctuation tell you what is acceptable and what isn’t??

Duuude .. Apologist much? F*ck Tomlin. He sucks and always has.

You obviously have never visited the political forum or you would understand how laughable that statement is, I am far from being the type to watch CNN. You are the type of douche bag that gives people reason to think Trump supporters are low intelligence morons.
