College Football Week 13

with 3 ranked SEC teams getting loss #3, Notre Dame is in unless they get blown out by USC. Auburn just beat Texas A&M so they'll be talked up as world beaters heading into the Bama game. I would not be surprised if they put Bama (or another 3 loss SEC team) in ahead of a 2 loss ACC or Big 12 team.
Absolutely zero chance Bama gets in now, especially having lost to a bad OU team where they could only muster a fg

I'm starting to really dislike Ryan Day.

Here's my CFP seeds after this week:

1. Oregon - BYE
2. Texas - BYE
3. Miami - BYE
4. Boise St. - BYE

5 Ohio State vs. 12 Clemson
6 Notre Dame vs. 11 Indiana
7 Georgia vs. 10 SMU
8 Penn State vs. 9 Tennessee

Bama is 13 after getting their **** pushed in by an unranked 5-5 team. This sport is embarrassing.

If the Iron Bowl was played in Auburn this weekend it would likely be loss number 4.
As a Bama fan I don't want them to make the playoffs just to lose. That's the job of my other foorball team.

Before too long they will be turning down the NFL and staying in College because they can make more money.

Kids playing for a scholarship and getting an education are gone too. Who cares about grades when you bank a million for 12 games?
I think I read a Michigan recruit is set to earn $10 million.

It’s professional ball at this point

They have no shame and don't care how it looks. They will get X number of SEC teams in there no matter what. Ole Miss is still 15 in case Bama loses to Auburn.

Alabama lost to Vandy who now has 5 losses and they were completely dominated by 5 loss Oklahoma. Where would Penn State be ranked if they lost to Ohio State, USC and Minnesota? Probably unranked.

How about Illinois? They have 3 losses to Penn State, Oregon and Minnesota. They'd probably be ranked 12 if they were in the SEC

You cannot play the way Alabama has played and make a playoffs. It's a ****** sham.

I’m interested to see how conference championship game losses will factor in. Say you have a 2 loss team projected in the playoff before the game, then they lose and they put in a team that does not play for a championship.

If they want these conference championship games to stick around, they can't start dropping teams considered to be in the playoffs out with a loss (unless it's a complete blowout). There's no incentive to play them as it is right now unless you're on the outside looking in. There's no extra rest with a bye week because you play the same number of games. You don't get a home game and you only risk dropping in ranks. There really isn't much to gain.

That would look truly stupid. Letting in teams that were not conference championship eligible over teams that played. But at this point I don't even know what they are capable of. I guarantee they are ready to take out the new Alabama coach and leave him at the train station and if they beat shity Auburn they might put them in. Hell if they only lost by less then a TD that might be good enough.

I would not be surprised if Bama got in still. There is a heavy SEC bias

Strength of schedule is only calculated based on games played. Now that Indiana played Ohio State, their sos moved up to 51. That’s higher than Oregon 52, Miami 59 and Notre Dame 78. Indiana is in so long as they beat an awful Purdue.

If ND loses to USC they could be out. That would be 2 bad losses and they only big win was Texas A&M week 1. That win could be severely degraded if TAM gets smoked by Texas. Not saying that’s fair but it’s all the justification needed to jump a 3 loss SEC team ahead of them.
