We were not allowed to use common sense and common courtesy. Nobody would have had a problem if any of this stuff was recommended rather than mandated, in fact most people probably would have willingly done it. Not to mention it was mandated for perfectly healthy people not just sick ones.

I always loved "you must wear a mask on the plane unless you are eating and drinking". The idiocy of them passing out snacks, everyone can take their mask off at the same time in an enclosed metal tube while sitting inches from each other. Then everyone has to put them back on. Or you have to walk to your dinner table with the mask on but you can leave it off all through dinner while you sit directly across from other people. Makes a lot of sense.

KN95s can not be properly fit tested. You may have meant N95s which need to be fit tested to work properly which 99% of the people wearing them do not do. If you have an improper fitting mask you may as well have no mask at all. I also believe at one point any type of face covering was considered acceptable.

Both surgical masks and unvented KN95 respirators, even without fit-testing, reduce the outward particle emission rates by 90% and 74% on average during speaking and coughing, respectively, compared to wearing no mask, corroborating their effectiveness at reducing outward emission.

as such, that is still 10-26% - ON AVERAGE - that doesnt work. and that is outward emission. Doesn't help much when you inhale. of course, if you're lying assed Bill Clinton...
