Succinct summation:
I appreciate your expertise. What I've read on MMR is different from that, and my personal experience with the smallpox makes me one of those for whom the outcome wasn't good. There are many actual vaccines that have been shown to be beneficial, M-M-R, Varicella, pneumococcal, poliovirus, smallpox, etc.
To say otherwise, in my opinion. is at best disingenuous. The anti-vax crowd is like the boy that cried wolf.
The mRNA product on the other hand isn't a vaccine in the traditional sense, never achieving the results of an attenuated vaccine.

I'm not aware of any list ranking vaccine safety per se, just my own common-sense way of thinking for what that's worth.I appreciate your expertise. What I've read on MMR is different from that, and my personal experience with the smallpox makes me one of those for whom the outcome wasn't good.
That aside, can you point out where I can find a list of vaccines ranked by either safety or efficacy?
(i used to get two "allergy" shots per week as a kid, for several years, so i have no fear of anything put in a needle, but I fear that others with weaker constitutions need far more precautions)
thanks. I truly understand what you wrote.I'm not aware of any list ranking vaccine safety per se, just my own common-sense way of thinking for what that's worth.
Literally anything that we put in our bodies can have a side-effect, some substances more than others and affecting some individuals more than others. What I do know it that diseases such as polio and smallpox were once prevalent in this country and because of the vaccines those diseases are no longer a threat. I have no doubt that they also cause issues for some but were beneficial to the vast majority of those receiving them.
Everything needs to be balanced on a risk-benefit scale, and for most vaccines the benefits do outweigh the risks. This is true with any medication.
There are no 100% guarantees, if the first do no harm was taken literally, nothing would ever be done.
