Deflate-gate......God I hate the Pats!!!!

Yep, their coach gave two press conferences on it, the 2nd of which totally contradicted his first. Their QB gave a press conference that made him look like he was on drugs and their owner goes on the offensive over it to deflect and yet this is a "big non story." If it was a bogus, non story, they would have shut it down the first day by coming out and claiming it was bullshit. But instead they hemmed and hawed and ran in circles. And the video shows the ******* kid going into the bathroom WITH THE ******* BAG OF BALLS. But you're right, nothing at all to see there. In the immortal words of Andy Dufresne, how can you be so obtuse?

In keeping with the Shawshank Redemption references:

Brady: If they ever try to trace any of those footballs, they're gonna end up chasing a figment of my imagination.
Belicheat: Well, I'll be damned. Did I say you were good? ****, you're a Rembrandt!
Brady: Yeah. The funny thing is - in college, I was an honest man, straight as an arrow. I had to come to New England to be a crook.

Based on RG news conference, he ain't doing ****.

apparently Goodell thinks something is amiss...

http://espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/201...iots-used-footballs-compliance-was-deliberate

PHOENIX -- In his first comments on the NFL's investigation into the deflation of the New England Patriots' footballs in the AFC Championship Game, commissioner Roger Goodell said the league is looking into two principal areas and have made no judgments on their merits.

According to Goodell, the league is looking into "why were some footballs used in the game that were not in compliance with the rules, and was this the result of deliberate action."

Shouldn't Goodell be looking into why that Rice tape was mysteriously never requested or looked at by himself and the NFL? Why doesn't he look into that?

Because he is trying to ensure that a cheater doesn't win the Super Bowl. Or at least that they don't get caught cheating in the Super Bowl.

The best part is you can bet the *Patsies will get a couple of those mystery calls against them tomorrow that always go in their favor. A PI, a hold, something.

So just to summarize where we are a couple weeks after the event to let cooler heads prevail:

1. The original report that 11 of 12 balls were 2 psi underinflated (i.e. 10.5 psi) is under considerable scrutiny. PFT is reporting the range of underinflation might have been much close to averaging about 1 psi.

2. The "source" to Chris Mortenson and the lead NFL representative on the game day investigation was Mike Kensil (http://larrybrownsports.com/football/mike-kensil-jets-executive-deflategate/253527). To say Mike Kensil is a complete impartial person to start this issue is unreasonable at this point based on his history with the Jets at the time Belichick dissed them to coach New England.

3. Two studies seem to easily support that 1-2 psi changes in the balls could have resulted from weather and rain.

http://nesn.com/2015/01/boston-college-professor-weather-had-to-play-role-in-deflategate/

4. A report now states no one recorded or even remembers what the balls were originally inflated to prior to the game:

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/01/29/nfl-didnt-log-the-psi-of-each-patriots-football/

5. There is still is no video evidence of a ball boy tampering with the game balls. Only this magical 90 second window of the kid going in to the bathroom. Just for ***** and giggles, I just stop watched while I just took a leak here at work, shook it out, washed my hands: 93 seconds. What a coincidence.

This is honestly the biggest non-story I've ever heard in my entire life.

I got to agree with you. I don't know who stands to benefit out of this (media selling ads?) but this is the most ridiculous non-story ever. The Pats, under Belichick and Brady, are going to their 6th Super Bowl, and the haters have to hate, instead of appreciating sustained excellence like an evolved human being should. I would prefer if the Steelers made it to the show this year, but their coach and QB simply aren't as good as the Pats. I wish they were, but they aren't. I gave to live with reality, not make up some fairy tale about the Pats "cheating" to get there. That is moronic.

Sustained excellence my ***. I bet you still believe in santa, the tooth fairy and studio wrestling? Yeah here is to the pats* losing their 3rd super bowl in a row after getting busted cheating to get to the first 3. Which they won by a ******* field goal each. What a bullshit team with a bunch of scrubs in a bullshit league of unfair play.

Shouldn't Goodell be looking into why that Rice tape was mysteriously never requested or looked at by himself and the NFL? Why doesn't he look into that?

The existence of the tape was a non-story. It showed Rice knocking her out which was the story all along. The only difference the video made was it sensationalized the incident... which isn't that what you're saying has happened with deflate gate?

Receptionist : Paiging mr. Kraft, call on line 3

As the "rog" and RK head off to do the things we all think they are doing, This VULGAR Steelers Nation bunch know, nothing will happen.

Fluck the cheats and all who acomplice them.

They just showed the before the SB interview with Marsha. Of course he was asked about the balls again. I am with Collingsworth on this one. Brady made himself look very guilty - more-so than I even thought before. Anyone else see the interview?

I can't stand to turn it on. First Super Bowl I will not watch.

It's a very simple question...did you know anything about it or not? And he wouldn't answer it.

I agree with Collingsworth. If he didn't do anything, then say it with conviction and move on. Don't answer any more questions about it. He was so squirly with his answers, it made him sound guilty even if he may not be. Collingsworth also said he thinks this may just be the beginning of something bigger. We'll have to wait and see.

I didn't watch the harbaugh bowl either.

SuperDaughter asked why we weren't going to your house for the game.
I told her it was a non-event.

she was confused.

"There's not a Super Bowl unless the Steelers are in it."

I think she's onto something there......................

If it comes out the anyone in the Cheatriots organization had anything to do with this, Goddell won't take the game or the SB away from them - even though they should. Lance Armstrong was found to have cheated and they stripped all of his titles. This and spygate would be no different. Since Goddell won't do that, they must come down hard on them (even if it was some scrub ball boy they throw under the bus). They need to lose their 1st round picks this year and next and they need to lose 10% salary cap for 5 years.

They cheated and now have 4 SB's. It just makes me sick to my stomach that the NFL can't or won't do anything about it.

Does it really matter what kind of "punishment" the NFL hands down to them*. pats* organization can care less what happens next, they* got their* super bowl victory* and that is what they* wanted and care about.

That team has ruined the way i look at the NFL. It's just an entertainment product for me now,NOT true sport. You look at MLB and all of the records broken by guys on ped's for many years. They've done nothing to take any of those away. It looks like pro cycling&the olimpics are the only ones to stand up somewhat and give harsh punishments to cheaters. Lance Armstrong was a victim of his own greed. If he would have just stayed away he would have had his titles still, but he's still a cheater in a sport of many cheats. At the end of the day i just don't give a ****. They're not getting my money. Just like i won't spend money on movies made by far leftist douche bags who just can't shut the **** up and make your movies. Why should i contribute to making them millions when they insult me? I don't need them, but they need me. If people would just walk away things would change, but most won't unfortunately.....it's all bullshit.

Die hard Steelers fan but must admit it was an entertaining SuperBowl unlike last year. Kind of reminded me of the great Steeler Cowboy fist fights.

As to deflategate, I'm over it concerning the Pats. What surprises me is Goodell's lack of response so far to the solution.

In MLB does it allow each team to bring @50 baseballs (they use @100 during a game) to the game and have them "inspected" 2 hrs before the game??? NO! The Umps rubbed down the baseballs before each game and keep them.

If Goodell was the Commissioner of Baseball, The Niekros would come out of retirement to pitch.

With GPS technology becoming so prevalent, why does the NFL still have chain gangs?
