Deflate-gate......God I hate the Pats!!!!

Foxborough fans feel persecuted.

Persecuted I tell ya.

[sarcasm font]
It seems that (numerically speaking,) a trend exists that shows the **s may have been statistically off the charts in terms of fumble-proof perfect for the last.. oh seven years.
[/sarcasm font]

(Yes, I know you've all seen that.)

And for you ridiculous **'s trolls out there who suggest that doesn't prove anything. It's true in THIS NFL, run by Kraft's stooges likely nothing will come of it, but remind yourself how Al Capone was finally brought down.View attachment 1129

Most forget too, this is how Madoff was brought down. It was numbers. Someone started running stats on his performance and they discovered it was mathematically a near impossibility for him to generate the types of returns he was getting. Then more investigation ensued. And Wham.

The NFL must protect itself though. They don't WANT lengthy, acknowledge cheating exposed as it could spell the end of the NFL.

Self preservation at its finest.

I didn't think there was anything wrong with that substitution stuff. I thought it was genious. But you're right. Why do they have to cheat when they will probably win anyway? Its so dumb.
Why do (some of) the insanely rich try to cheat on taxes?

Why did Barry Bonds cheat in baseball? Dude had two or three MVP's before he got 'roided up.
Pittsburgh Pirates -- Steroid-free since 1992.

They're going to find a lot of statistical anomalies when it comes to the pats***. They're greedy. I'm pretty sure the trail goes clear back to 2001.

One guy put his money where his mouth was the other cheated to affect the out come. Both engaged in illegal behavior to the detriment of the sport.

How do you know what Rose did? Are you a psychic? We don't know if he bet against his team and threw games; that's the problem with ANY gambling taking place from sport members. That is a hell of a slippery slope. Once you start betting, who knows what you are going to be tempted to do. That is like free money. The Black Sox fixing of games almost destroyed the sport.

Rose Testimony "I never bet for my team to loose". has a bit more credibility than I did not know anything about it, I did not think that was illegal my team has many more times the radio equipment than any one else, my team fumbles less than everyone else, I was able to take a late round qb that no one else wanted and make him a star.

And yes I am enough of a psychic to know you are a troll and a fool.

That's what he says and I guess a bookie would've been stupid to have taken his bet on his own team to lose, but I the primary concern of any sport with gambling is players or coaches throwing games.

That's "what he says?" So, the guy who is best known for lying over and over and over and over and over, we are to now believe what he says? Why would we ever question his word? He is like one of the very last people anyone should ever believe being that it is now a fact that he lied to us 1000's of times over. And, this just in: He probably wasn't calling the bookie directly.

"This message is hidden because POP is on your ignore list."

Has a nice ring to it...

I haven't heard anyone discuss the possibility that the Patriots played with their balls for the game the previous week, against the Ravens.

It was colder during that night, and the game was much more competitive.

Seems like a perfect time for them do it...

Dude, would you relax? I'd didn't state it was a fact, just that is what he claims. But if I'm the guy placing bets for him on the Reds to lose, and the wagers are large, after a few times I'm worried about the bookie catching on and telling Rose to place his own bets.

You know they've been doing it for awhile and wouldn't just do it for one game against a team they've consistently smoked for the last 3 or 4 games in a row. At least I hope they're not that unsure and stupid. But with them, you never know. Their leader could not stand the fact that he was a total failure in Cleveland so he tries to stack the deck every single chance he gets.

They're greedy. I'm pretty sure the trail goes clear back to 2001.
Yes. You don't compile the entire playbook of each team overnight. Ernie needed a great deal of audio signals and game footage in order for the **'s coaches to break it down and decipher the language so Ernie could learn it and translate it for Hoodie. They've been doing this since Belichick went to the **'s.

Serial cheating since he started there, probably since before when he was at Cleveland, he just didn't have enough footage yet to make it work. He needed time and data to put it together and make it work.

Beat so badly he went into hiding. I like it.

Very much like you and your stupid accusations about steroids. Notice you've not touched that with a 10 foot pole. Cowering in silence?

There's this annoying "buzzing" noise... I can't seem to place it.

So just to summarize where we are a couple weeks after the event to let cooler heads prevail:

1. The original report that 11 of 12 balls were 2 psi underinflated (i.e. 10.5 psi) is under considerable scrutiny. PFT is reporting the range of underinflation might have been much close to averaging about 1 psi.

2. The "source" to Chris Mortenson and the lead NFL representative on the game day investigation was Mike Kensil (http://larrybrownsports.com/football/mike-kensil-jets-executive-deflategate/253527). To say Mike Kensil is a complete impartial person to start this issue is unreasonable at this point based on his history with the Jets at the time Belichick dissed them to coach New England.

3. Two studies seem to easily support that 1-2 psi changes in the balls could have resulted from weather and rain.

http://nesn.com/2015/01/boston-college-professor-weather-had-to-play-role-in-deflategate/

4. A report now states no one recorded or even remembers what the balls were originally inflated to prior to the game:

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/01/29/nfl-didnt-log-the-psi-of-each-patriots-football/

5. There is still is no video evidence of a ball boy tampering with the game balls. Only this magical 90 second window of the kid going in to the bathroom. Just for ***** and giggles, I just stop watched while I just took a leak here at work, shook it out, washed my hands: 93 seconds. What a coincidence.

This is honestly the biggest non-story I've ever heard in my entire life.

yet the Colts balls were inflated properly.

so what you're suggesting is the Pats** intentionally did not inflate the balls to the specified psi as prescribed by the NFL. Then the refs botched their job (surprise, surprise) and it's nothing.

yet what this does is present a trend and pattern of skirting the rules. the franchise had already been fined, reprimanded and had closed-door meetings about such actions.

but, whatever. we're just whiny fans who had no stake in the outcome of the Colts game nor the Rats game.

Which once again doesn't account for the 12th ball and why it remained inflated and the 12 Colts balls, which remained inflated.

This also doesn't account for Wilson (the manufacturer of footballs) and Bill Nye both saying the claims of PSI drops at 51 degrees weather are bullshit.

So, here's where we are...

Total bullshit and a spin story by the league to try to hide what happened.

The fact is the report that came out originally was accurate and factual and the league is trying desperately to cover the **'s ***** (and thereby their own.)

Just GIVE IT UP.

You guys and your desperate need to cheat to win... It's pathetic.

We JUST DON'T RESPECT YOU!

NOBODY respects YOU.

Accept it.

Move on.

apparently Goodell thinks something is amiss...

http://espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/201...iots-used-footballs-compliance-was-deliberate

PHOENIX -- In his first comments on the NFL's investigation into the deflation of the New England Patriots' footballs in the AFC Championship Game, commissioner Roger Goodell said the league is looking into two principal areas and have made no judgments on their merits.

According to Goodell, the league is looking into "why were some footballs used in the game that were not in compliance with the rules, and was this the result of deliberate action."

While he is looking into that I will be tuning my tv into something else.

This might be all we need to know

Yep, their coach gave two press conferences on it, the 2nd of which totally contradicted his first. Their QB gave a press conference that made him look like he was on drugs and their owner goes on the offensive over it to deflect and yet this is a "big non story." If it was a bogus, non story, they would have shut it down the first day by coming out and claiming it was bullshit. But instead they hemmed and hawed and ran in circles. And the video shows the ******* kid going into the bathroom WITH THE ******* BAG OF BALLS. But you're right, nothing at all to see there. In the immortal words of Andy Dufresne, how can you be so obtuse?
