We're desperate at DE? We should dump Tuitt and Heyward now?
I can't wait for Butler to sit all those old players and play the young guys. I'm sure he'll bench Timmons, McClendon, Gay, and W.Allen, I can't wait to see all the rookies and 2nd year players that Butler puts on the field next year.
I thought Butler was going to solve about 75% of the defensive issues simply by "Using players as they ought to be used."
Why do we need to draft an early round CB? With Worilds getting 20+ sacks a season we should see an immediate improvement in our secondary.
Obviously the sharper-witted Butler can figure out how to use the amazing talent on this ridiculously deep Steeler bench and put forth a top 5 defense while we continue to focus on the real weakness on the team... the offense.
Antonio and the receiving corps aren't getting any younger. Clearly we need RB help. Some extra TE's wouldn't hurt. An ENTIRE OL overhaul is needed.
Those aren't the old players, squeaky bumps. The truly old players, who saw the field under LeOld but will not see the field under Butler, are Keisel, Troy, Ike and Harrison. Cam probably won't see the field either. That is a 5 player swing. I'd say that is pretty significant. And if they draft a NT high, McClendon might not see the field much either. That is a 6 player swing, over half the unit, Squeaky bumps.
Matt Elam really? lol Isn't he backing up Will Hill who went undrafted and was playing for the Arizona Rattlers at the start of the season?crimonsteel if if Collinss is a better version of Mitchell and Shamarko he will likely be as good as Matt Elam of the Ravens and that should be a huge upgrade over troy, so we can go SS rnd 1 and cb rnd 2 @4 or 5 and
