Diontae Johnson excused from team activities (update - he has now been released)

His attitude got him sent out of Pittsburgh and his attitude is apparently an issue for Baltimore. If you can't perform as a good team player for those two teams, I'm not sure you're worth a roster spot.

Tomlin also did as much as I've heard in years when he dissed Johnson before the first matchup against the Ravens.

Here’s a fun question. Between AB and DJ who would yinz rather bring back if you were forced to?

AB was more talented but more disruptive. DJ not quite as talented as AB but wasn’t as disruptive.

I’d go with AB for a year.

I’d take the middle three years of AB’s historic HOF run. And pre-Burthdefect hit.

That would trump and combination of years that DJ put in……….. anywhere.

Salute the nation

I'd take him back in a heartbeat. Our offense would move with him, even without GP.

Would the team take him back? Probably not. He's not a team player.
I agree with this. I personally would take him back on a cheap deal. Gives us an immediate #2 option and wouldn’t break the bank to still allow us to resign GP.

The team I think has moved on. Which makes it more hilarious that the Ravens traded for him and won’t release him because the front office is worried about him going to the competition. Which is likely us.

I would bring AB back right now. He could still probably get 600-700 yards in the NFL.

As big an a-hole as he was, I wouldn’t expect even AB to resort back to having tantrums after the Steelers found it within their hearts to give him another chance.

Not likely... How many guys take years off and come back successfully? Guys just seem to lose something and it doesn't come back. Another thing is AB wasn't exactly tearing it up when he quit. A prime AB over DJ is a no brainer. I doubt an older out of shape out of competition AB would be any better than what we have now

DJ has a loser mentality. What he can produce doesn't seem worth what he brings in terms of team chemistry.

You are off subject. Your assessment of me almost sucks as much as your created threads and GM skills.

How is that red nose career backup doing?

You are a legend in your own mind , I can’t wait for the next dumbarse thread you create.😅
Rudolph threw 2 4th quarter touchdowns last week and gets the start this week.

How’s Pickett doing?

I wish they did not trade DJ to begin with, but I'm not sure how much of an impact he would have coming in this late in the season, largely because he is not familiar with Arthur Smith's offense.

He would definitely help, but not as much as he would have had the Steelers kept him.

It's a moot point because the Ravens seem intent on holding on to him, not only to keep him away from the Steelers, but other playoff teams in the AFC.

why? Just, why? In case you haven't noticed, Smith's offense requires 9 blockers and we have video evidence that DJ doesn't block. what do you think that does to the offensive chemistry? couple that with the dropped passes, running backwards, signaling first downs while the rest of the team scrambles to spike the ball to kill clock, and being an absolute ******* head case, which has earned him his second team in one season and a healthy scratch against his former team, you know, when players seem to ball out.

but let's bring him in to catch two or three balls per game?

GTFOH!

He is a career backup. Unlike you I have no problem with my assessment of Kenny. Which mainly was a wait and see. You are still delusional about Rudy the red nose backup.

That is all he is all he ever will be.

Have a jovial day.

😅

Because l’ve seen van Jefferson and Mike Williams play receiver.

My assessment of Rudolph floor being one of the better backups to low end starter is spot on. His ceiling is what I couldn’t evaluate.

But I do like how you subtly revise your point thinking we don’t see right through your attempt. Apparently, Rudolph has gone from a “red nose 3rd stringer” to a backup. Lord forbid if he ends up a stop gap started next year. Then he’d turn into “Rudolph the red nose low end NFL starter” and you would pretend that was your assessment the entire time.

DJ - 30rec 357yds 11.9av 3TDs
VJ - 19rec 231yds 12.2av 2TDs
MW - 5rec 83yds 16.6av 1TD

Wow. so much better! almost twice as many targets with one more TD and a lower average per catch. perhaps he could increase his average if he didn't run backwards?

Der der derrr.

What were all their stats up to October 20th?

🤡

One of the better backups…. he sucks and your assessments suck.

So Rudy proved he is a backup , low end starter? 😅

Only one of us is delusional. The only thing that ultimately matters is neither is a starter worthy and neither is a franchise.

You want to whine about my assessments changing but here you are labeling red nose as quality backup when you hooped and hollowed that he just needed a chance to show he was a starter. He didn’t get a fair shake🤣

He is a career backup at best thankfully you aren’t our GM

Whew

You are talking to a football maroon. His takes are oddball at best.

So much insight. 👍

Yes. As he is starting this week in the NFL. 👍

You are a freaking yo-yo. I mean how can anyone take anything you say seriously? So now Kenny has 0 chance to ever be starter worthy? Last year you were spanking it to your Pitt Panther life size cut out of Kenny and now he could never be a starter. I mean he definitely has a lot of ground to make up to be a low end starter but I don’t think you can say he’s not anything yet. Odds are he won’t be much more than what we saw. But to just be so black and white about everything. You know there’s grays… blues… greens… reds… hell a whole slew of different colors. Stop being so matter of fact. And learn how to admit you are wrong.

Where did I say he just needed a chance. The only thing worse than someone who can’t admit they’re wrong is a liar. And you are a bold face liar.

I stand by my assessments. How’s Troy and Roman doing this year btw?

We are all embarrassed you are a Steelers fan. You make the rest of us look bad.

oh, now we're going to cherry pick dates to fit your bullshit narrative. Clown indeed.
Cherry pick the days he was actually playing football lol. The saddest thing is you think showing a guy who hasn’t played football in going on two months is still way ahead of Mike Williams and Van Jefferson somehow proves your point is hilarious. I mean do you know how stupid you sound?

Ok patch with your delusional rants . No need to look further to your dumbass created thread to see who makes our fanbase look bad.

You know the same dumbass poster who said Rooney was a piece of ****.

The real piece of **** is huckleberry dimwit Ford.
