Because the Ravens traded for him so the competition wouldn’t. At the time probably KC. Ravens are deep at wr numb nuts. Now they won’t release because of the same. I stated this several times before. Harbaugh pretty much confirmed this when he said the front office determined he wouldn’t get released but instead would be excused from football activities.
And yet even with him not playing in 2 months he will likely still have more yards than Jefferson and Mike Williams who will actually play in 18 NFL regular season games this year.

People change. I’d like to think maybe he realizes now that he had it pretty good here and might bust his *** to be a better teammate and player. Maybe not, but we don’t have a better receiver that’s healthy right now.

DJ was traded for a reason.. but if they believe he wont be a huge disruption going forward, giving him a second chance rather than letting him go to the Chiefs or Bills isnt a horrid idea....

The thing is, if they traded him because his attitude went to hell, they probably arent bringing him back... Claypool is still a ufa and they didnt even want him back as a PS guy...
So if they traded him as a legit roster move as they said, there is a chance tgey make a play for him... if they gotcrid of him because of the attitude BS, he is probably not getting a second look
