Does the mainstream media have a problem reporting citizens with guns stopping mass shooters?

I think so. These people should be honored as heroes and given medals. But they are very obscure and purposely not reported by the media as most in the media want the 2nd amendment to vanish into thin air and hate the fact that that law abiding citizens with guns saving others.

Recently there was such an event in Massachsutes? Did you hear about it? Neither did I.

Less shock value than bad news. The media sucks!

It's kind of funny that you say mainstream media doesn't cover these and the first example opens with
the cover story in People magazine.

The media is owned by 6 corporations and ALL OF THEM carry the water for the govt. Good gun news does not aid their gun grabbing agenda, hence, there will be very little coverage of any news on that front. It cannot possibly be any more obvious.

Regardless, not covering positive gun news is the rule, but you can find a few exceptions. But the rule is, hype of "scary" gun stories, and ignore any news where guns being present had a positive impact.

IMO, in general, the MSM has trouble reporting anything that doesn't fit a liberal agenda. They might, eventually, report it when they are dragged into it (see Lewinkski, John Edwards)

You wouldn't call "pro-war" being a liberal agenda, but the MSM constantly fills our head with "news" to make us agree to more war, every ******* day.

The story barely mentioned the fact that the principal stopped the shooter with his own weapon. It focused on the evil guns that forced the little angel to go on a rampage.

I'll take Stupid Questions for $500 Alex

LOL..For sure 21, them 44M subscribers to People Mag more than likely skipped right over that abbreviated article on their way to real news like....

People reportedly paid $4.1 million for photos of newborn Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, the child of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.[5] The photos set a single-day traffic record for their website, attracting 26.5 million page views.[5]

Woohoo.... that's some serious news right there now.

We all know that the media supports political agendas, so nothing should come as a surprise.

People no longer care what the elites say

June Gun Sales Crush Previous Record

FBI reports more than 2.1 million gun checks

June 2016 saw the most FBI gun background checks of any June since the current system went into effect.

The agency reported on Sunday that it processed more than 2.1 million gun related checks in June, an increase of more than 600,000 over the previous record set last year. That makes June the 14th month in a row to see a new background check record, including every month of 2016. This year is on pace to break 2015’s record for most checks in a year.
