Draft discussion thread.

Its some spoiled muthafuckas around here....we get it....

over the past two seasons we've lost to injury, Ben, Ike, Polamalu, Harrison, Woodley, Foote, Brown (two seasons back), Sanders, Heath, Pouncey, DeCastro....i hate to calculate what number of missed games that amounts to.(hell we even lost some depth players to injuries the past couple seasons)......Injuries factor into how well a team does (What team loses that many pro-bowl caliber starters and still makes the postseason or wins a superbowl ?)....especially with consistent shuffling on the oline and having to readjust and trash a scheme you wanted to implement at the beginning of the season. Thats not easy but we came on at the end.

Injuries factor...damn right they do....just ask the Texans...went from playoff qualifier to the number one pick...IN ONE SEASON !!!! Atlanta ????

Those that dont like Tomlin, didnt like him when he was hired (for a few theres the Negro association factor, though theyll never openly admit it), for others that dont for other reasons, will still never like him even if he wins two more Super Bowls....they just dont like his interactions with players. "He aint spittin so he aint really coachin...........". And the chest bumpin comment is bullshit....Pete Carroll bumps with the best of em.

Im hopeful the momentum from last year continues...started 0-4 and still came close (missed KC kick) to makin postseason.

So, this Tomlin argument is far past old.....the verdicts of the fans are set...either you like him or you hate him and nothin that happens within the next 32-64 games will change that.

Great post Blitz. I don't know why this is so hard to understand. Everyone who doesn't like Tomlin isn't a racist. Some hoped for Whiz, even though Tomlin was not picked over Wiz, as Zona gave a Wiz a take it or leave it, well before Tomlin was hired. Some wanted Grimm, some don't like his style. That said, there are indeed some on this board who would like him a lot better if he was a white guy. Can't act like none of those types exist anymore.

there go 2 CB with great size and could have been great apperient's to taylor.

thanks for ******* LANDRY JONES

He's not hiding behind racism......he's just saying that it's one of the reasons that some people don't like Tomlin.......and didn't like him from day one. There's plenty of other reasons that people don't like Tomlin......we've heard them all here that's for damn sure. I like that Tomlin is a players coach and that he has an upfront relationship with his players. He'll critique them as much as he will encourage them.

I'm going on the record - I hate this pick.

I hate this ******* argument. Who the hell are you? How do you know why people didn't/ don't like Tomlin? Have they told you? Name some names then hot shot. My guess is that nobody has said anything of the kind and you are using race as a way to criticize people that you disagree with. You have nothing else so you stoop to vacuous race baiting and false innuendo. Really a shame that you can go this low.

It's a shame that there's no karma. Light shade of fuscia is some real funny ****.

Well said.

I love how it takes just a tiny pin prick to make people expose themselves.

In other news...

We have yet to draft a player we didn't have a need for

ILB (2)

DL

KR

WR

CB

OT

We have holes at all these positions, and are building through the draft. No wasted picks, and every one of these guys has the same thing in common: regardless of production, they are all great athletes. Were drafting for talent over production, and need over want.

This is a good draft. Coach em up Mike!

I like the idea we tried to address needs and yet get a quality player that was available in that round. They can be coached to meet production.

Blood pressure medication must be part of your daily regimine...or is it behavioral maintenance meds ?..... cuz youve gotten "worked up" and lathered up...damn...go chew on some rusty lag bolts and calm your azz down chief.

Now, with that nonsensical gullet rattling, diatribe of yours aside....the method in which a coach reacts to big plays or disasterous results have no bearing in how well/poor a team is coached. Theres been many hard disciplinarians in this league that have been given pink slips because they couldnt get results on the field. Singletary comes to mind....Schiano is another....But youre gonna see a slew of coaches fired before Tomlin even feels the heat....and theres a good reason why...abrupt change in staff is never a good thing...its the way Pittsburgh does ****...theyll give him ever opportunity to get this turned right side up and flyin again. We are NOT the goddamn Redskins, Browns, Chiefs or Bills. Owners that stuck with coaches during rough years, after first having success, eventually saw things turn around...Fischer is an example...a few 8-8 seasons, followed by two consecutive 13-3 campaigns...then followed that up with three straight sub .500 seasons (missed the postseason)...management stuck with him and he delivered with a 10-6 and 13-3 season (and division crown).

Shall we discuss Coughlin and the Giants. ?..they (fans) were ready put his *** out on the first thing smokin out of NY back in 06. Won the bowl...had two straight non playoff seasons in 09 and 10 and in 2011 won another bowl. Had ownership bowed to the wishes of the fans, what are the chances theyd have that recent Lombardi ? THis is the reason why fans cant and shouldnt be trusted...yall dont know **** but emotions, tirades and ticket price increases. Coaching changes dont equate to success. They often lead to more futility. See the Cleveland Browns again..............

With that said, go learn the disctinctions between racism and prejudice, fool
