An 8-8 record is much more understandable when you have Slash as Qb. We have a legit top 5 QB. As I recall most of the Marino Dolphins seasons were better than 8-8.

Somewhere in my post was the specific comment of "overall" record. We all know the stats over the past two seasons - lest we forget that the players that Coach Tomlin inherited now getting too old and are leaving and/or are gone.
I say this year in and year out - WE ARE NOT GOING TO BE CONTENDERS EVERY YEAR - no team does that anymore. There will be ups and downs. Face it.
So, until the Steelers put all of the "thinkers" on this board on the bankroll - we can only take the pills of the draft and free agency and pray for a good outcome...

Looking at how the draft played out, that trade last year is pretty painful. Nix, Moncrief and Gaines all were available with Steelers original pick. Good thing we have Landry Jones (I know we traded the pick to get Shamarko Thomas).
