Hopefully, Art is angry like an old man trying to send back soup at a deli.
Trent Dilfer says hiThat's just it, yeah Cowher needed Ben to get over the Super Bowl hump, but he made a Super Bowl and 2 AFCCG's with Neil Odonnel, made 2 AFCCG's with Kordell, and was a Joe Nedney Oscar award winning performance away from getting there with Tommy Maddox. All I hear from Ryan Clark, Arthur Moats, and other National guys defending Tomlin saying well you can't expect him to win in the post season, look who his QB's are. GTFOH, if you're a HOF coach you can win a game here or there without a Franchise QB.

There are always going to be 2-4 teams that will be more than happy to sign him. The real question is, does he want to start over with another team? My guess. Is that he doesn’t want to start over and will just keep collecting a check as long as they will give him one. He will then ride off into the sunset, or into a broadcast gig. That would be 6 years ago, today they wouldn't get a bag of Frito's for him.
Then buy shiny new wheels and a sound system to try and fix the damageSooo true
Cowher would’ve even went to SB with Kordell had the refs not gone crazy and completely forgot how to officiate a game
Cowher built and rebuilt and rebuilt and remained relevant, Tomlin was gift wrapped a shiny new sports car and proceeded to run it into an oak tree
You forgot to include the team ownership in that ineptitude groupyour entire premise misses the entire point, which is, Mike Tomlin and his cadre of worthlessness have proven beyond any shadow of a doubt that they. are. not. fit. to. be. the. coaches. who. will. rebuild. this team. into. a. premier. franchise.
Wake up, sleepy! They aren't the ones who are going to re-build this team, so what's the point of even arguing in their defense??
This... while moving on from Tomlin we might have a bunch of down years....as a fan I can live with that as long as you can the franchise growing...have a plan in place....moving forward. Yeah I might ***** and moan in these down years. That is just being a fan. Anything is better than trotting out the same lame thing week in and week out for years and expecting different results.

I think it's just a sign of how sick everyone is of Tomlin, he is the only constant that has been here for all these playoff embarrassments, multiple OC's, DC's, GM's, players.
2004 we were coming off an AFCCG with a rookie QB, hell we won 3 playoff games from 01-04, Tomlin has what 3 wins since 2010.
You mean like when Cowher was coach?I wonder about that. I have long argued that sometimes players have to just make plays. And I think that's true. Coaching can not account for everything that happens on the football field. At the same time, Steeler players have not been put in the best position to succeed. Both things can be true at once. I like to see if a different staff could get more out of the young talent that is there, because I think there is some. Maybe in that case the down years aren't really that long.
Then why are they keeping him around? Is it the recent success or great expectations in a couple years? And I get that. So am I. But not every accusation is sound. His lack of success is absolute fair game and should be criticized. His schemes and development of players. Yeah. But some accusation that they keeping him around for the win total, for example? Not so much.

I wish Neil o donnell could speak up and say hi right nowNick Foles says hi back
Why? What's the benefit? Noll won 4 Super Bowls. That's a hell of a bigger deal than wins over a career. Who gives a shiit about that unless there are a bunch of championships attached to it. I just do not get what the big deal would be over that. Then why are they keeping him around? Is it the recent success or great expectations in a couple years?
Nope the likely answer is the obvious one you do not want to consider.

Least they they lose six out of the next ten games which is very likely with this predictable, anequated defense tests leaves us at 8-9, losing season.
After all the money spent on this defense Art would have to demand serious changes.
Tomlin gone, most likely not but Austin and others must assuredly gone. It does have to open Art’s eyes and start to question Tomlin and maybe we’re closer to the end with this fool.
At some point soon the son Danny has to be waiting to take over and I would think he’d want by to forge his own path.
I think Tomlin is closer to the end than we think. A dismissal probably not but a mutual parting of the way to save face for Tomlin.
The more dissatisfied the fan base becomes, then the local media starts adding pressure,it could happen
I know that. Where have I argued any different? This team will absolutely be a failure with anything less than a championship.Again, any reasonable person can easily see that's not going to happen, so by your own standard, this team is not a success. Moreover, what we're currently seeing, is what we HAVE BEEN seeing for close to a decade now.
You're being disingenuous; nobody is literally JUST saying "just win 1 playoff game, Pittsburgh Steelers, and we'll all be in heavenly bliss and fully-satiated, our football desires have been fulfilled once and for all!" A playoff win is a part of the overall change, a "turning away" from what this team am saying has been allowed to become. A playoff win is not accomplished within some vacuum of compartmentalized expectations. Again, along WITH a playoff win, fans are going to expect to see progression within the coming seasons, as a logical next step for the team.
And I get that. So am I. But not every accusation is sound. His lack of success is absolute fair game and should be criticized. His schemes and development of players. Yeah. But some accusation that they keeping him around for the win total, for example? Not so much.

Put some 10k rims on that bad boy with the bent frame
The math checks out
Why does there have to be a legitimate reason? If they are not keeping him around for the win total please name a legitimate reason.one damn good reason…all
Cuz he’s been trending upward-definitely not
Since he’s a great team builder- definitely not
Since he’s developing talent- definitely not
Since he’s so close to a SB- definitely not
It is not far fetched at all to assume that is what Art has in mind as his crowning achievement since he won’t be adding a Lombardi to the case..
Many times the most obvious reason is the reason and OBVIOUSLY the win total threshold argument makes far more sense than any other…the people
That have asserted that just may be right…I’d say it’s quite likely the plan
Also, who cares? Are you gonna think better of Mike Tomlin if he has the win total? It doesn't mean a damn thing to me without more championships. Noll at this point will always be #1. Until a coach wins 5 championships that's the way it will be. That's why I can't wrap my head around it.If they are not keeping him around for the win total please name a legitimate reason.one damn good reason…
