Everybody must report…………… Day Before Camp

I’m starting this off with how DK Daily Shot did. He was at a ”start of training camp” and James Harrison was coming out of the dorm, DK asked something to the affect of “James, do you have any goals for this season…”

James could have just said the normal / everyday stock answer such as Super Bowl / pro bowl / etc……..

Instead————-

James responded “ This game hasn’t changed, I have to beat the guy in front of me”

How pure gold is that, and how that pertains to todays team at St. Vincent College. This team needs to be know as the physical team of the past STEELERS, no if’s and’s or but’s. That type of physicality needs to be on display every day, every play regardless of practice or game.


Will this team /Coaching staff / ownership be able to obtain the lost flag and show that physical dominance of past……. ? This team has that physical presence, the overall team has been geared for the dominance side of the game.

They brought in “TOUGH” guys and they, both players and coach’s, need to show that grit from day one.

The “GEL” will come, but the tough physical needs to be on display from day 1.

Well it's not like the blueprint to the top doesn't reside in the house. It's doing the basics extraordinarily well in a way that sets you apart from everyone else.

Could be wrong, but I thought the few teams already in camp play the HOF game.

No. I was watching either NFL network or ESPN NFL Live the other evening and they said 31 of the 32 teams are already in camp. That left the Steelers as the only team not in camp. I was pretty surprised. I just looked and many teams had rookies on the 18th with most vets on the 25th. The Steelers have everyone today. Not sure what the NFL was saying as the Jets supposedly start the 29th but I thought they were already practicing so not sure who is right.

There is a range of start date, most likely this fits their training camp schedule. It relates to days off / morning / afternoon / night practices.... ect.

No. I was watching either NFL network or ESPN NFL Live the other evening and they said 31 of the 32 teams are already in camp. That left the Steelers as the only team not in camp. I was pretty surprised. I just looked and many teams had rookies on the 18th with most vets on the 25th. The Steelers have everyone today. Not sure what the NFL was saying as the Jets supposedly start the 29th but I thought they were already practicing so not sure who is right.

Again, the CBA determines the start and complete by dates. They also determine the number of "work" days and times allowed. So fitting that in is how teams correspond to start dates, ect.........

EDIT: So when Coach Tomlin decides to take the team to Lucy's powdered Ice Cream Creations........... he is just doing that as a day off.
