Pittsburgh never gave Pickens a scheme or a qb that will ever start another game in the league.
Aaron would have been a huge upgrade for GP. To think Georges stats would be worse with Aaron than Kenny Pickett?

Canada didn't put a worse product on the field than Smith, Smith had Aaron vs Kenny with Canada.
Its no coincidence Bijan, Pitts. And London are twice as good as when Smith was calling the shots.

If he gets a head coaching job every single woke Dei cheerleader should be up in arms because there are Black coaches that should be hired well before Fat slob Smith.

Even worse, if they lose and the passing game is limited without DK again, that incident that was later publicly supported by Tomlin could be his downfall.

A Tomlin dismissal or resignation could have an interesting effect, too -- I could see a couple comfortable vets who love him walking. Looking at Cam mostly, maybe TJ.

That all comes right from the head coach. I knew they were in trouble when Tomlin strutted off the field in Detroit with Cam and Rodgers acting like they just won something more than a regular season game, then Tomlin yelling before getting in the locker room about Brooke Pryor, which hasn't been talked about much, but that's a low rent move by a 18 year head coach, you'd never hear another long tenured coach do that.

Watt has been a great Steeler and is a shoe in hall of famer but in no way has he earned the money paid to him this year and it’s highly unlikely he ever will again. He will go nowhere there’s too much money to earn-if he retired it would be a very good thing long term for the cap

Heyward has played well this year, his date with Father Time is coming tho. I wouldn’t be suprised if he holds out and demands a bigger contract when training camp starts, if so trade him

It's absolutely criminal how many careers Tomlin has wasted over the years. His mis-treatment of Dick Lebeau and Troy Polamalu stand out as well as the years Ben should have been leading the teams through championship seasons.

Basically.. we blew two division leads ... we had a 3.5 lead, the Ravebs took the division lead, then we got to a scenario where we needed one win or ravens loss for to clinch and blew that too

Ben should have another ring if Tomlin could have managed some loaded rosters better. Ben is the one who made Tomlins career with all the winning he did in his prime

Remember when posters on this board said Ben was the one holding the team back?That has aged rather poorly lol

Scheme scheme scheme....I never thought Rodgers would be running this embarressment of what we call an offensive scheme. I don't think anyone did. Rodgers deep balls have been bad all year. Is it his WR's? Or his throws? Both?

That deep sideline pass is the lowest percentage pass in the league... the NFL average for 20+ passes is typically around 38%.. and as you get to the sideline passes it dips further...

And honestly the teams and qbs with comparatively really high deep pass completion rates are utilizing the middle off the field more than we do.. that pulls safeties and make the precision of the pass less of a problem because teams cant just sit safeties deep all game long

I have pretty much bought the narrative of the Steelers and passing over the middle. Another site had a handful of plays from the Browns game. In every play they showed there was a player, in most cases Warren, but on the 4th and 1 Theilen, wide open in the short middle of the field. Easy pitch and catch, and with Warren could be some nice gainers. What is the truth?
 
The truth is Tomlin doesn't permit passing plays over the middle. Harbaugh loves when he gets Tomlin to run and pass sideways, parallel to the line of scrimmage. That's easy to stop.
 
Tomlin is in the same group as Mike McCarthy, Sean Payton, John Harbaugh, Pete Carroll. Stack their resumes next to each other and they are nearly identical.

Tomlin and Harbaugh are still with their teams, meaning we've seen three get replaced.

It hasn't gone well for the Saints in the four years since Payton. Only 1 season above .500 and no playoff appearances. Dennis Allen was a dud hire, bad from the start and not a move I would've made. The roster is a mess and they're on their second coach, Kellen Moore, who has more upside as a coach. QB has been an issue, rolling with Dalton and then Carr, but those are both guys Tomlin would've been a borderline playoff team with. Finally, in year 4, the Saints may have a QB of the future with Tyler Shough. He's getting good reviews.

Mike McCarthy has been out of Green Bay for awhile and things have gone well for the most part. A nearly seemless transition from Aaron Rodgers to Jordan Love, the Packers have a good coach with Matt LaFleur and only 1 season below .500 since he took over. They've had 6 playoff appearances in 7 years, but just a 3-5 record...3 playoff wins in 6 years, TBD for this season).

The Seahawks hired one of my favorite coaching candidates from this cycle, Mike Macdonald. They went through a QB transition from Geno Smith to Sam Darnold, both journeyman, and the team has been fine. Seattle is the top seed in a very deep NFC this season and has a top-rated offense and defense.

But a handful of plays on another site showed that not to be true. There is visual evidence of a player settling down in the middle of the field. It wasn't wide receivers for the most part, but in every play highlighted, there was a player, again mostly Warren, wide open in the middle of the field. The one that is really galling is the 4th and 1 to Miller in the endzone with Thielen, again, wide open in the middle of the field.
 
I know he won't get fired, but just yelling at him brings me happiness....I know he's yelling at the OC here, but anyway.

Idk. I was listening to DK. He was talking about the middle of the field having no Steelers in there, and the fact the Cleveland had just resodded made it more noticeable. His words. But then I see video proof there are guys there. I just have a hard time beleiving ghe same guy in the video in the post above wouod all of the sudden turn passive and listen to the coaches about not throwing over the middle.

Probably signalling for him to check to something else because of something they saw. The helmet mic is cut off at that point, so they were probably jumping up and down when they didn't see him get back from the center and raise his arms up to signal a check. If he had done the check that Turd guy makes it off field.

Yet Rodgers didn't throw him the ball. Why? Because if our Tomlized scheme doesn't allow it.🤔
