Fire Tomlin.

For once, I'm dead ******* serious. They knew before kick off that the Rats lost. If they beat the worst team in the league today they pretty much wrap the division up. Re watch the play where they say he was hurt. It wasn't some big hit, and the defender didn't land on him at all. I told everyone in the house if the Raiders took the lead he would be back in. Voila, miracle recovery. There is absolutely nothing that happened between him leaving, or coming back that made him any better or worse than he was to begin with. He may very well be the best QB we've ever had, but today just didn't work for me. This was bigger than one play, or some turn over, or some dumb **** he says to a reporter. It was essentially the biggest game of the season and he watched them **** the bed for over a quarter while he chilled on the sidelines. I may be the only one who feels that way, and frankly I don't care. It was a joke. There will be some bruise, or whatever to explain it I'm sure, but I'm not buying some debilitating rib injury on that.

You can't make this bullshit up. He didn't keep himself out and when coach T finally pulled his head of his ***, Ben drove them right down the field for the go ahead score and then had them in position to tie it with 5 seconds left. Pretty impressive for someone that gave up on the team.

Sorry, this is worse than the 80's. With Mark Malone at QB, we beat Denver in the playoffs, at Denver. This is pre - 70's Steeler football.

I don't know. I remember a montage ESPN did when we played the raiders in the 80s. Marc Wilson and Mark Malone were shown throwing errant pass after pass and Berman said , " a couple of Marks beat NOTHING . "

That was some horrible football in the mid 80s.

I don't disagree, but our QB quit on his team today. I don't give a damn if nobody else agrees. If he was good enough to be out there at the end, he was good enough to play the whole game minus maybe one series. He got his drama moment, and because we are too stupid to cut an awful kicker he didn't even get that today. Season's over folks. We got gifted a Rats loss and choked against the worst team in the league. This team just isn't very good, you are what your record says you are. Time for some real changes, or we won't see another title for a long *** time. I have never been more pissed off after a game than this. This is embarrassing.. I'm sure all the real fans will tell me I'm wrong, and I'm good with it.

rib injurys are usually extremely painful. probably got a shot at half time and was waiting for it to kick in

Who missed the FG's today??? I'm not even going to reply to the stupid remarks - this was a team loss but we KNOW WHO really lost the game...

I don't want to hear any ******* excuses for this bullshit!!! Another loss to a **** team where we are outcoached. It happens ALL THE TIME with this piece of ****. When the Raiders ready to score, I'm screaming to use a timeout, we'd have had about 1 minute 20 seconds with the ball if he would've. But NOOOOOO, ******* dumbass Tomlin lets the clock tick, tick, tick away. Then the ******* moron wastes one when the CLOCK IS ALREADY STOPPED!!!! No blitzes at the end, didn't pay attention to the field in warmup. I'm sick and tired of this bullshit year after year after year. **** you Mike Tomlin, you arrogant stupid dipshit. Frankly, **** you Rooney for putting up with this **** for WAY TOO LONG. And to the Tomlin apologists, why do you keep putting this ******* above the team? He has NO CLUE what he's doing, and he NEVER takes responsibility. Enough is enough!!!

You nailed it. Not calling time out after the run on 1st and goal epitomizes why Tomlin is a terrible coach.

If its true that Tomlin thought the offense was in ryhthm with Dobbs he should go straight to a rubber room. That is beyond belief.

Who even trusts Tomlin to even manage the clock properly in a tight game? Much less out scheme/coach anyone!

If the conservative packers have the stones to fire their coach maybe theres hope, it might take Ben taking Rogers type swipes in the media. Lord knows Ben's capable of it. Time for him to address the source of the problem

Tomlin is insubordinate. “The standard is the standard”. Rooney is a puss for letting talent like this not reach its potential year after ******* year!

People always find a way to hate Ben, yet Dobbs was looking painful out there. No feel for the game, no confidence. They won't but they should look at Rudolph a little closer in practice this week. Give him some first team reps, in case Ben can't go.

But I expect no great coaching decisions.

This year they sat on the extra money and didn't upgrade S,CB,WR, and RB even after there was clearly deficient areas.

Not that this coaching staff could figure it out regardless.

What you get with this team is as far as Ben can take you with a ****** D and ST play.

Winning seasons, but not good enough coaching to get you more than that.

Who kept the HOF QB out of the game until he needed him to bail him out AGAIN? The fact you're putting no blame on Tomlin is just amazing lol..

How was Tomlin on timeouts? And we still cover WR's with our LB's. And why did it take so long to put Ben back in.? all things Tomlin could have done better. Goat the heck out of Boswell to save your boy. Some coaches would have 86'd him by now.

If not for the Raiders committing as many penalties as they did, and the ref's saving us on what I thought was a fumble vs Dobbs, we lose by more than a TD.

You do not jump up and down like Ben was doing without wincing on the sideline if you have a rib injury. The jarring motion would have been painful beyond belief and Ben is not exactly a guy with a high threshold for pain.

I'm tired of watching this defense give up leads almost effortlessly and letting the opposition eat up the clock in the process. I'm also tired of seeing LBs chasing after wrs and tes all game long. Porter and Butler need to be shown the door. Coach T's not going anywhere anytime soon, but if he doesn't make some changes on the defensive coaching staff, then Art jr needs to step in.

Some of you ******* guys kill me. You ***** and whine about him being a 'Players coach" and when he does exactly what I expect him to do by explaining that **** away you take it as gospel? Get the **** out of here with that nonsense. So, if Ben puts on his helmet and jogs out there what does the staff do? He was CLEARED to play. I hate ******* Brady and everything he stands for, but no way in Hell any coach would keep his soft *** off the field in that game. I knew a few true believers would disagree and go all in, and I could give a damn less. There's no ******* way once he's cleared they aren't playing him unless he wants to sit. If you believe otherwise that's more an indictment on your feelings than anything else. It's nonsense. I've been around here more than a decade and I know I'll get killed for this, but I don't give a damn any more. He's probably the best QB we've ever had, and he's supposed to be THE leader of this team. He lost me some today, I see what I see.

Ben is durable and played well. Tomlin “ thought “ he could win the game with Dobbs.

again just a guess, but he was probably just waiting on the shot to kick in

so he was waiting on the shot to kick in but was jumping up and down with no wincing in the interim ? Got it /

LOL@ Ben lost you. Tomlin held him out. Let us not make up our own truths to fit our own agendas.

even a slightly bruised rib makes it feel like you are breathing in ice water. one of the most painful things to try and play with. I don't think Ben quit. I thin he was waiting for the pain to subside.

I've had ****** up ribs, and I never bounced around like he was on the sidelines as soon as he came back out. I'll get the I hate Ben bullshit and that's ridiculous. I expect my top players to be held to a different standard than all the chumps everyone likes to pile on in here. He should have been out there sooner. I can be the only one who feels that way and I'm alright with it. I see what I see. I don't care what Tomlins incompetent ***, or the media spew to me. As for Boswell? If he's on the roster Monday afternoon you know the franchise doesn't care about winning right now. Someone higher than Tomlin has to make that call finally. He finally ended a game with a choke, it was only a matter of time, and a stroke of luck that it wasn't a playoff game. But like coaches, he will get a pass. Again.

To be clear, in no way do in think Ben should be benched or anything stupid. I don't think it's time to move on next year either. We have nobody even serviceable behind him, he's our ace. He's got a couple years left in him. I'm just talking about that nonsense today. Nothing more to try and interpret. It'll be interesting to see if there's any mumbling from the team this week. Usually choking, and letting a season go to **** gets that stuff started. Time will tell.

Penalties-

Steelers 2-14
Raiders 13-130

.....and STILL couldn't get the win.

I've had ****** up ribs. they showed him almost as much as the damn game once he came back out. He was stretching, and hopping around. With the medical **** they have available if he was able to do all that he wasn't feeling anything. At the end of the day, like usual, they let the worst team in the league hang around for over a half. Again it cost them a game. This was must win, the record today won't be relevant in three weeks. believe it.

No doubt, without all that help we got they beat us by double digits. Make no mistake, a couple of those calls were sketchy at best.

Ben isn’t the coach. He doesn’t play defense or kick field goals either.

Since none of us know the extent of the injury we should not pass judgment. He came back out and played hurt.

Tomlin, Boswell and our safeties minus Edmunds all need to go.

**** me. Tomlin said himself that he held Ben out, "going with the flow of the game" or whatever. You seriously think he sat himself? No ******* way that dude sits.
Now if he comes out and says later that it was his call, then call him a ***** all ya want. This **** is squarely on Tomlin.

LOL@ Ben lost you. Tomlin held him out. Let us not make up our own truths to fit our own agendas.

My agenda is, I won't ever believe in a game that important, that any coach is holding out their starting QB in a must win if he's cleared. Tomlin can say whatever he wants to try and do what he feels he needs to do. You choose to, for whatever reason believe him today, when everyone questions everything else he says. But I can't question if he's being genuine for his own reasons? I don't hate Ben, so any of that stuff is a non starter with me. My dislike for our coaching staff is a legit subject though.
