All righty! Today, the first round of OTA's start. Post anything and everything you hear about the Steelers.

You know why Harrison and Stonio want to come back to the Steelers this year? Because they can smell what the Rooney's and Tomlin are cookin'. I can smell a very good year from our team and so can they.

HERE WE GO STEELERS, HERE WE GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Harrison might get invited back if one of the linebackers gets hurt in training. St onion doesn't have a chance. We have lots of options at wide receiver .

At least next week we have some money to start wheeling and dealing.

Stonio is gone, not just for his off field antics, but his talent has diminished way past, what we have available!!!!! Due to an Injury, Harrison may get asked, but his talent has diminished also.

Salute the nation

We have money next week but the pickings are slim. Most likely wait toward the end of training camps to see who is cut. Could potentially pick up a pretty good player or two at that point but don't expect much now.

I think the Steelers will only use the Woodley savings to sign the rookies. I feel we are done barring injury bringing anyone else in via free agency. They will save their unused cap space for next year.

I don't expect any outsiders to be brought in, but they can start working on Worilds and Ben next week. Whenever they get those done they can start looking at the others who need deals on the current roster.

we should add 1 more vet CB for the dime package.

I think Worilds plays out his tag this year unless he takes a decent signing bonus with an extention. I just don't see them handing him 25 million for 8 games worth of good play. I feel they would be content playing his tag and then locking him up before the draft next year if he has another good season. Or like I said he takes a friendly deal this year.

And I think the Steelers are happy having Ben play out his current contract. Look at his base pay and he is a steal so why increase his pay? They can keep him until he is 34 and then tag him or extend him. But eitherway they have the upper hand having two more years under the current contract.

I think the prudent move would actually be to lock up Cortez Allen

resigning some of our own would be smart. extend allen extend pouncey(if the price is right)

I'm reading Shazier was running with the first team D. Not a huge surprise. I reckon Tuitt will probably begin behind Thomas, we'll see how long that lasts. No Troy or Ike the first day, Zumwalt is also absent.

Great interview with Bell on the official site... some highlights:

What rookie Dri Archer can add:
“Speed. He’s going to be a very valuable piece to our offense considering the things he can do out of the backfield and at slot receiver and just his speed in general. (As a defense), you have to account for that. He’s definitely going to be a featured part of the offense. I was happy with the pick.”

New offensive line coach Mike Munchak:
“I’ve heard a lot about him. I never really knew him before he got here. He’s a great guy. The things he’s bringing to the offense, there are a lot of things changing in the playbook because of him. We’re adjusting to him. It’s a good adjustment, and I think there are going to be major changes this year.”

Pouncey said it felt great to be back on field for #Steelers today. First time since knee injury for football related activitiez

Ray Fittipaldo @rayfitt1
G Ramon Foster said he was surprised how much ahead of schedule Pouncey is. Said he was "shocked" at some of the things he was already doing

Wexell said on twitter that Adams has confirmed he is LT#2. I wonder if that means he is competing against Beechum? I thought Adams may compete with Dilbert at RT.

probably the backup LT as is Dilbert since they're competing for RT.

What about that big ******? Is he learning to play FB yet?

Tibs, you're pouring kerosene on the dying embers...

Now, that's funny right there!!!

He'll be the backup LT and play RT #2 to help Gilbert since neither can play a full position by themselves.

@steelers: "Feels good. First day, I feel like the new kid at school all over again." @LanceMoore16

Saw where Jarvis Jones said he didn't gain any weight in the offseason but he definitely has gotten stronger. I guess we will have to wait and see.

I want to hear about The Mountain. If he can stay down (which he needs some coaching on), he will command double teams at NT and could see significant playing time this year.

He also needs to get faster - hope he visited w/ Ike and his coach...

Fun to read about some football-related items again.

Things that have stood our are Jones getting stronger without gaining weight, which is probably a good thing. Also, some interesting comments with the changes that are made with Munchak. Again, sounds good on paper. A bit different when you have a well-respected coach who comes in and changes things versus one who has been all over the league.

Jarvis, Ike needs yer assistance at WWS pronto...
