Floyd vs Conor

Looks like so many people have ordered ppv it's crashed the system in some states. Delayed.

Connor looking good so far. Not sure if floyd is toying with him

Connor is gassed already. He's done. He had to get it done early and he didn't.

Credit to Conor for lasting 10 rounds.

Mayweather gassed him. 50-0.

Boxing 1 MMA 0

If it was 6 or 8 rounds Connor may have won, but he had no juice in the tank

He would have needed at least another 6 months of conditioning. He's geared for a 25 min MMA fight. He did well enough for his first boxing match and made a **** ton of money. I doubt Floyd goes near a cage with him..haha. That takes mastery of more disciplines than he has time for.

As I posted on FB...."Well the woman beater won. Can't say I wasn't rooting hard for McGregor. Now, let's play by MMA rules. Maybe Floyd will feel a bit like those women did."

Props to Conor. He did way better than I thought he would. That was stopped way to early. Never seen a boxing match stopped that early. I have no idea who was scoring the match up until then, but Conor won almost every round.

That was weird, but Conor was gassed. He would have gotten embarrassed if it continued - probably.

All that said, Tibs - let's see that sig.

Even more weird. They had him winning only 1 round on the judges cards when the results came in. It really shows you how corrupt boxing is. He was never going to win that fight no matter what unless he knocked him out.

Now that I think of it he never conditioning for more than a few rounds. It was the same with Nate Diaz. Gassed out in after 15 min. I guess he didn't want to trade off strength for more endurance or this was just a sucker show to begin with.

I argued Mystic Mac was going to shock the world, prove he is a world class boxer - even without ever having boxed a round of professional boxing - and that he'll beat Mayweather.

After ten full rounds in an excellent boxing match, McGregor lost the fight which sucks. I wish he would have found a way to victory. He came close, but not close enough.

I think it's safe to say most everyone's shocked how this fight went down. McGregor went toe to toe and won multiple rounds against the best boxer on the planet. McGregor is a beast, he proved that 'an idea' sometimes does turn into 'reality', that those two things are not mutually exclusive. And life's not worth living if you simply accept reality and never dare to think and dream big.

So hats of to the Irish kid for putting in the work, showing up in great shape and ready to box. And props to Mayweather for keeping his 50-0 record intact. I hope everyone that called this fight a joke going in - and Connor a clown - will have by now realized how wrong they were.

Many people - too many to count - said McGregor 'won't even touch Mayweather'.

I thought Conor won at least the first four rounds, maybe five. The whole fight seemed too scripted to me, like it was by design. This was the first fight I've paid for since my favorite boxer, Lennox Lewis, retired. And it will probably be my last.

Yeah those scorecards were bizarre.

There is no debate that Connor won the first 3 rounds, but after that Floyd slowly / steadily started turning it on. Round 4 / 5 was close, but after that it was a Floyd whitewash. I had the fight close, but mayweather winning. The judges scorecards were a bit whacked, but look at the Pacquiao vs Horn cards. As for the fight being stopped early I do not agree. Connor almost fell over several times, Floyd was picking him apart, and Connor was not landing / throwing anything. If the fight was not stopped then, Connor would have taken several more un-needed shots and been down anyways. I believe there was still about min left in the 10th when it was stopped and I highly doubt he would have escaped the round.

One thing I was surprised at is that Connor's power did not seem to translate into boxing. Floyd did not seem hurt at all by any of Connor's shots and Floyd's shots sounded much crisper / stronger. I also thought Connor did a better job of hitting floyd than I expected, but according to floyd that was the gameplan.

Yeah he looked very amateurish with some of his punches. i thought he connected with a couple of decent body shots and that's about it.

From the feed I was watching Mac won the first 3 rds and was trying to take May out fast...he just got gassed and May walked over him.

McGregor earned my respect. If he keeps it up; he'll be a complete fighter.
Kudos to Mayweather for surviving the first 4 rounds. McGregor's MMA instincts were kicking in. Right then and there I realized how different the sports were. Mayweather held up and used his strengths well after. It was a great boxing match.

Now onto the cage.

Yeah I dont see this happening. Floyd would not last a round. Only way I would see it happening is if they had weird rules like boxing only for 2 rounds then UFC rules third round. I would like to see if Floyd came out blazing to put Connor away before it got to MMA rules.

Mcgregor was anti trump. Mayweather went to the inauguration. I’m good with this outcome.

Yeah, that's really important and quite healthy to see all things in life - including sports - solely through the prism of politics.

Gotta root for boxing and the American in this case.
