but it is not Socialism...it is DEMOCRATIC Socialism.....you know, where you get to vote....for who the government tells you to vote....
I suppose the Hispanics already here, both legal and ill, don't want 1) the competition and 2) the criminals, although some I assume, are good people.
The Dems would ideally have us be like Europe where you vote for either the Socialist candidate or the more Socialist candidate.
I'm okay with the topless beach thing but otherwise I don't want any parts of Europe.

You might need legal immigrant truck drivers. Or guest worker truck drivers, etc... Biggest problem with our immigration laws is we don't
have a reality based guest worker program.

The shortage of truck drivers is mainly due to two things: The Trump economy is booming. As the production and sales of American made goods dramatically increases, so do the transportation requirements. Trucks are equipped with electronic monitoring systems now and drivers can no longer hide their hours. So yeah, come into the country LEGALLY, get your CDL and you will probably have a good paying job as a truck driver.
I don't think that anyone is against a legit guest worker program. But before we import workers, let's make sure we take care of our own, with training and employment.

There are a lot of people here that can't stay off drugs enough to get a CDL.
If wages have to rise in order to fill the demand, then so be it. That's how capitalism works. Not by instituting a $15 minimum wage like the left wants. The only way to increase wages it to create demand. The fact this sector/job of the economy HAS demand is a good thing that we should all be celebrating.

Evidence? I didn't see anywhere in that article where it said businesses were leaving. Also there are people to fill the positions but most are living at home with their parents, welfare, SSI, or disability. I see tons of able bodies around town. Some of them panhandling. You have to making being lazy uncomfortable and difficult to do. There is no reason to import more low skill welfare abusers for jobs they won't do and aren't qualified for to start with.

The Liberty County Vindicator, a community newspaper between Houston and Beaumont, had been posting the whole declaration in small daily chunks for nine days on its Facebook page in the run-up to July 4. But the 10th excerpt was not posted Monday as scheduled, and the paper said it received an automated notice saying the post “goes against our standards on hate speech.”
Part of the standard notice, Vindicator managing editor Casey Stinnett wrote, included a warning that the newspaper could lose its Facebook account, on which it depends for much of its reach, if there were more violations.
The offending passage?
It was part of the document’s “Bill of Particulars” against Britain’s King George III: “He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and has endeavoured to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Indian Savages, whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions.”
Mr. Stinnett dryly replied in an article about the rejection, “Perhaps had Thomas Jefferson written it as ‘Native Americans at a challenging stage of cultural development’ that would have been better. Unfortunately, Jefferson, like most British colonists of his day, did not hold an entirely friendly view of Native Americans.”
He noted that the newspaper wanted “a means of contacting Facebook for an explanation or a opportunity to appeal the post’s removal, but it does not appear the folks at Facebook want anyone contacting them. Or, at least, they do not make it easy.”
Within a day, Facebook had paid heed, allowing the posting and sending the Vindicator an apology.
“It looks like we made a mistake and removed something you posted on Facebook that didn’t go against our Community Standards. We want to apologize and let you know that we’ve restored your content and removed any blocks on your account related to this incorrect action,” Facebook wrote back, the Vindicator reported.
Reason magazine pointed out how Facebook’s actions were “silly” but also the inevitable logic of massive social-media sites trying to police millions of messages, a task that cannot be done by humans.

VIDEO: Teen attacked at Whataburger for wearing 'Make America Great Again' hat
SAN ANTONIO - Police are investigating after a teen says he was verbally attacked and assaulted at a Whataburger for wearing a Make America Great Again hat.
In the video, you can see a man throw a drink in 16-year-old Hunter Richard's face before leaving the restaurant with his hat. Hunter said some of his hair was pulled during the assault.
"I support my President and if you don’t let’s have a conversation about it instead of ripping my hat off. I just think a conversation about politics is more productive for the entire whole rather than taking my hat and yelling subjective words to me," he said.
Hunter was with his friends at the Whataburger off Nacogdoches and Thousand Oaks Tuesday night when it happened. They say the attack was unprovoked.
"I didn’t think it was going to generate the amount like what people are doing, I was looking at the comments by some people and “they are like this is uncalled for” and other people are like mixed opinions but I didn’t think it would blow up to what it is now," he said.
A police report has been filed.
Whataburger released the following statement:
“We were shocked to see this video and certainly don’t condone this type of customer behavior in our restaurants.
