Game Balls, Game Goats & FU's....................@ Clowns

I don't know what triggers Tomlin haters more?

That Tomlin will have more wins than Cowher in 15yrs?
That Tomlin rebuilt a defense drafting in the bottom half each year?
That Tomlin had a winning record without Big Ben when he was hurt in 2019?

He's going to have a lot more chances at playoff wins being that there are now 7 teams going from the AFC each year and he's never under 8 wins. He would have only missed 2 playoffs ever if we had 7 playoff teams for his entire tenure.

Enjoy the wasted years of Tomlin and hang your hat on the new 7 team playoff format. Still Tomlin has to win playoff games when he gets there something he has shown himself to be incapable of as his career progresses and the Steelers keep getting blown out of playoff games under his helm. The cheerleader needed Cowherd players and toughness as the record clearly shows. The farther along he goes the worse the playoff results are and their is nothing in his bullshit filled brain that shows he can learn from his repeated failures

Enjoy the playoff futility under this moron. I wish we had a coach who really knows the game and how to maximize performance instead of a cliche filled bullshitter who is exposed every January when he is lucky enough to make the playoffs.

What has he done for me lately.... pertaining to the post season?

I think the lack of development people are seeing is simply refusing to acknowledge the development that has happened. We've had some great players on both offense and defense during Tomlin's tenure, and he never gets credit for them. Any time we have a great talent, it's always in spite of Tomlin and never because of Tomlin.

I'll just list players CURRENTLY on the team that have developed under Tomlin:
Watt
Heyward
Tuitt
Highsmith (currently ahead of Dupree's development)
Sutton
Alualu (went from a failed first round to a HUGE contributor on our team)
Juju
Johnson
Gentry
the entire OL that continues to get better every game
Claypool (continues to improve and learn)

and this doesn't even take into consideration of players like AB, Dupree, Sanders, etc...
How has Tomlin developed JuJu, exactly? He had 1426 yards in 2018, his second year, and has put together 1512 yards in the three years since. JuJu's early success had a lot more to do with having AB in his prime on the other side, not Mike Tomlin.

Of course some players like Watt and Heyward were bound to produce. How about all of the players who didn't develop under Tomlin? Let's list those guys, too. All first through third round picks:

Matt Spaeth (3)
*Limas Sweed (2)
Bruce Davis (3)
Kraig Urbik (3) -- he actually had a decent career after Tomlin let him go, and Buffalo developed him
Ziggy Hood (1)
Jason Worilds (2)
Curtis Brown (3)
Sean Spence (3)
Mike Adams (2)
*Markus Wheaton (3)
Jarvis Jones (1)
*Dri Archer (3)
*Sammie Coates (3)
Senquez Golson (2)
Sean Davis (2)
Artie Burns (1)
*James Washington (2)
Justin Layne (3)
Devin Bush (1)

Everybody loves to praise Tomlin for his development of wide receivers, but when you actually look at it, there's been just as many failures as successes.

and every other coach develops all their draft pics to all-pro level?

it is the same with all teams, you make your picks and you take your chances

No, my list didn't even include guys like Edmunds, who despite being a first round pick and effused with praise by Tomlin, has never smelled an all-pro level of play. When you take your chances with a third-round talent at #28 overall, you better be able to develop the guy. Hasn't happened.

Oh, no! Tomlin didn't develop EVERY dude he drafted??

Welcome to the NFL.

And if you're giving Urbik to Buffalo for development, you have to give Fitzpatrick to Tomlin. Fair is fair.

Oh no, I listed a bunch of high picks who have not developed in response to the short list of those who have. Fair is fair.

The Steelers gave up on Urbik after he was inactive on gamedays for the entire season prior to his release. Fitzpatrick was already a very good player on a poor Dolphins team...that's why Pittsburgh was willing to trade a future first round pick for him. Those two situations are not even remotely similar.

Great quote loved that movie.

A blow job is what Tomlin does every January when he is lucky enough to even make the playoffs.

I don't know how many people really care about any of those things. It's about not producing in the postseason and the Steelers only have 3 playoff wins over the past decade.

What Tomlin does in his spare time is his business.😁
