He is playing good enough to win more than they are. That isn't hard to admit.Who said it was? Jesus, the guy isn’t playing good football. It’s not hard to admit.

The whole minimize weakness/maximize strengths has been a Tomlin issue long before canada. Canada is to blame no doubt, but Tomlin is the denominator in all of this. They were down their top WR yet the Steelers refused to double their second in line. Maulet showed his coverage inability today. One of the worse coached games I have seen in a while. They refuse to minimize their weakness and maximize their strengths. That is coaching 10 out of ten times. B b but Kenny. No b b but suck *** coaching. Again Ben isn't here to cover up stupid, that is showing itself more often than not. What is the high priced D doing ? That was a F performance. It doesn't matter where Kenny is on the list, he isn't 1,2,3, or even the 4th reason for the fail.
Our coaching staff doesn't believe in teaching
That part disappoints me the most. I see other teams look like a well oiled machine with sound fundamentals and then I watch the Steelers and wonder just what the **** is going on.
If Pickett didn’t play at Pitt, he would NEVER be getting the type of excuses he has been getting. No other player gets the same level of excuses. He is playing good enough to win more than they are. That isn't hard to admit.
B b but Kenny. What is frustrating to me is no matter how bad other areas suck they want to finger point to him quickly. Not Tomlin, not horrible coordinators, not horrible secondary play minus two out of three of their best playmakers, not Moore being beat like a rented mule, not DJ being his inconsistent self, b b but Kenny. ****You mean Pickens, who dropped how many passes today? Including an easy TD.
They lack the fundamentals at the pro level because Tomlin expects these guys to have that down. Even at the pro level they can use refinement at their craft. That part disappoints me the most. I see other teams look like a well oiled machine with sound fundamentals and then I watch the Steelers and wonder just what the **** is going on.
It is what it is. All we can do is watchThis is how it's going to be the rest of the season with this OC. The OL is subpar for any kind of running game or pass blocking on a consistent basis.
It's not going to happen. The defense plays in small spurts and routinely gets carved up running zone when they can't get to the qb. How many games have we seen with wide open receivers gaining 20+ yards a pop. If you add in a bunch of high arm tackling pads solo while guys watch, you get a bunch of points out up on you.
It's a mediocre team. It will be until they address the issues.
They don't change **** inseason, so just embrace the suck.
Lmao, are you blind? There have been dozens of threads attacking Canada, Tomlin, Flores, Danny Smith, Bush, the secondary…etc. Pickett is not playing good football, he is missing wide open receivers, and his accuracy is getting worse, not better.B b but Kenny. ****
Not watching muchIt is what it is. All we can do is watch
No, he’s not. He had a good first half today. Probably his best half of football this season. Wasn’t horrible against the Saints. Aside from that, he’s been well below the line, even for a rookie. I can understand propping the guy up. Everyone wants him to succeed and be better than he is. Look, I can agree the play calling and o line aren’t helping, but some of the mental gymnastics and excuses for this guy is ridiculous. Even with the limitations, he is still missing a lot of plays that are there to be made. He never should have been put in this position. He is playing good enough to win more than they are. That isn't hard to admit.
Mark Madden has tried.Bengals had 9 3rd down situations, Steelers had 17. Steelers were+2 giveaway/takeaway and LOST. This game was decided by 1st and 2nd down failure. A Pittsburgh sportswriter really needs to expose Tomlin and Canada and their predictable early down play calling.
Nor missing muchNot watching much
If the coaches didn't have such a high level of suck I wouldn't need to throw them out. Kenny wasn't responsible for Joe fool lighting the D up. Kenny wasn't responsible for high school level play calling. Kenny wasn't responsible for drops. He was just responsible for his bad plays. Which were miniscule in comparison. If Pickett didn’t play at Pitt, he would NEVER be getting the type of excuses he has been getting. No other player gets the same level of excuses.
I would have zero fear of this. Pittsburgh is becoming next year country and in order to create the facade you need fall guys. Now clearly Canada deserves it but I expect him gone by Tomlin's year end address.I fear for some reason somehow O'Canada will be retained under Tomlin's insistance. A one year deal to match what's remaining on Tomlin's contract.......
Maybe Kahn will step up and put his foot down on drafting weapons and get some Trench Warfare players in the draft.......
One can dream but must also remind themselves of the root problem of this team.

The game has been no different than any game the Steelers have played this season.I did not get to watch the game yet, so my opinion doesn’t matter yet, but I feared from the get go that Scaredy-cat Tomlin would make Pickett and probably any other qb we brought in here so scared of turnovers that they start throwing bad balls trying to aim them perfectly… if Picketts accuracy, a strong point in his game, is faltering, then they are ******* with his head… also it sounds like Cowher was 10000% right in calling out the stupidity of letting a rookie qb try to throw this much early in his career
Not one damn thing that this team has an issue with cannot be tied to its head coaching deficiency right not… Tomlin’s voice is spent… time to move on
Until he takes away the ping and leaves the pongPing Pong
That's all there is time for..............................

Agreed. Burrows to Higgins was never figured out. Burrows to the RB(whoever he was) at the GL was never figured out. Maybe by next season, Tomlin will have it figured out.If the coaches didn't have such a high level of suck I wouldn't need to throw them out. Kenny wasn't responsible for Joe fool lighting the D up. Kenny wasn't responsible for high school level play calling. Kenny wasn't responsible for drops. He was just responsible for his bad plays. Which were miniscule in comparison.
