The burning of fossil fuels and changes in land use results in the emission into the atmosphere of approximately 34 billion tonnes of carbon dioxide per year worldwide, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA). The fossil fuels emissions numbers are about 100 times bigger than even the maximum estimated volcanic CO2 fluxes. Our understanding of volcanic discharges would have to be shown to be very mistaken before volcanic CO2 discharges could be considered anything but a bit player in contributing to the recent changes observed in the concentration of CO2 in the Earth's atmosphere

In January, we provided preliminary estimates for US CO2 emissions in 2017. The headline story was that while emissions continued to fall last year, the pace of decline slowed from an annual average 1.3% between 2005 and 2016 to under 1% in 2017. EIA released their final estimates this week which align with our preliminary numbers. Energy-related CO2 emissions fell by 0.66% last year – half their 2005-2016 average rate. Power sector emissions continued to decline, but emissions from the transport, buildings and industrial sectors all grew, offsetting half the decline in the power sector.

Again using those estimates to assume anything is laughable. The +/- on any CO2 emission monitoring system in this country is typically 7.5% of the actual emissions and most have an aps of +/- 1 percentage point for lower concentrations...
Since CO2 isn’t penalized as a pollutant in federal regs but rather used as a dilutent to calculate O2% and convert to lb/mmbtu to get pounds per hour and tons per year numbers for Actual pollutants like SO2,NOX, CO and Hg, most sources do have a legally high bias on their CO2 monitors, and stioichometric calculations always bias high...
Again people are screaming about science but not actually understanding the methods or math... just make agenda based scare tactic proclamations
Their graph does accurately show why renewables are not yet capable of replacing fossil fuel though... outside of hydro... which is amazing, their reliability is ******... capacity vs production looks bad when 100% of your production is guaranteed to be used. .... still a loooonngg way to go before oil coal and gas are cut out

The jet stream is going into far northern and southern lattitudes like it never has before, that allows warm moist air to move into the troughs that are at times farther north than they should be.
What happens when warm moist air meets cold air? You usually get precipitation.....do you not?

There is a cycle in that guy's opinion/theory he's not getting to.
So if I understand correctly, let's say earth wobble or global emissions raise the temperature of the arctic region. Ice melts, exposing the ground (instead of white ice) to the summer sun which absorbs more sun energy and causes temperatures to continue to rise. He surmises that this also causes fluctuations to the jet stream (makes it more up/down) across the northern hemisphere.
Now, I agree all this happens. But what he doesn't get to is AS the jet stream fluctuates more, it DOES bring moist air up into the arctic. But that causes great snow fall in fall/winter/spring that increases the very snow/white ice that was melted in the first place. Nature finds a way to correct for fluctuations (because in my opinion, many of these fluctuations have happened many times before).
So after a few seasons (or decades) of warmer summers and changes in the jet stream, the added moisture increases snow fall in the arctic and this counteracts the effects of the sun absorption theory that it's a "snowball effect" (pun intended). In my opinion there is very little evidence of the "snow ball" effect of climate change which so much of the doomsayer climatologists talk about. They consistently fail to calculate or know or include all the ramifications of one small change to the earth's environment and fail to accurately predict the future because of this (that's why the models have been so off for so long).
Somethings always pops up scientifically that they "forgot" to include in the calculations. This happened with how much CO2 the ocean absorbs. Or what happens to the coastal aquifers underground when ocean levels rise. Or the changes in precipitation/snow fall in the poles when the earth DOES warm.
I just don't believe in the doom argument or some precipice or point of no return. The earth is changing. Has always changed. Man will adapt or die. Same goes for every other species on the planet. Now in my opinion the success of **** sapiens through the years (and we have been an incredibly resourceful and successful species) tells me it can handle climate change. Will all the other species? No. Some (maybe many) will die. We can save DNA, genetically modify some if we have to, help speed up migration of animals to correct environments. Man will ALWAYS impact the environment. From overhunting to overfishing to changing ecosystems, this is nothing new to our species. We've done it everywhere we've gone (hell, if we ever leave this planet we'll do it elsewhere too).
The idea we can stop 10 billion people from impacting the earth is an insane hypothesis. It is impossible. The only thing to do is observe and adapt.
