Gov Abbott to pardon murder convict

That's ****** up. He should have never been charged period. The only person who should be in jail is the DA and he should never be allowed to practice law again.

This one is a tough case. I've been following it just through news online/cable. Unfortunately, there was no 'good' video. Every BLM rally, thousands of people are filming everywhere hoping to catch something viral or nefarious. Yet unfortunately in this case there is no decent video to corroborate the prosecution or the defense. We had far better video in the Rittenhouse case.

The case came down to the defense said the deceased raised his AK47 and Sergeant fired in self defense. Prosecution produced witnesses who said the deceased never raised his gun.

He said, she said. Who do you believe? In a case like that in uber-Liberal Austin TX....good luck.

Still perplexed how the jury got to "beyond a shadow of a doubt" and convicted him. Maybe Saul Goodman, aka @Steeltime can shed some light.

We will never know the truth about the case. That said, I hope Abbott and the pardons board do the right thing.

Criminals should all move to the cities and states with really strict gun laws and they turn you loose the next day with petty charges. Much easier targets and you have less down time from work.
