Highly unlikely, but would you welcome Cowher back to the Steelers?

This Tomlin hot seat stuff is real, very real. There is no way that the Rooney's can watch this debacle of a team and not realize that wholesale changes are in order, starting at the top of the coaching staff. So if Shades is let go as he should be, would you be happy if they went after Cowher? Me personally, I would be ecstatic. This team needs a fire, a listen here you SOB's, you are playing for the Pittsburgh ******* Steelers and history dictates that you play like a bunch of junkyard dogs on every snap, no exceptions. Is anybody else with me? Would bringing back Cowher be a good idea?

NO..................................................................................

I would be delighted to have Cowher back as coach, I agree we need some fire on our behinds and get this back to a winning level we are all used to. I am all supportive for change. Cowher's team is the one that won super bowl 43! Just think Cowher maybe too happy at CBS but weirder things have happened.

This!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is why i defend Tomlin. Not because i think he is the best ever. But this right here. Now Cohwer is God. Now he is perfect. I read this board back then and Cowher was called every bit the idiot **** up that Tomlin is called now. Yes there were different reasons for it but idiot **** up none the less. It doesnt matter who the coach is when we arent winning When we lose he will still be called an asshat..

As a GM, maybe. As a coach no.

I have been thinking if I would welcome him back as a GM and am unsure of that scenario right now. I'm still most upset at Colbert and I'm looking for any possible way to get him out the door I might be willing to stoop to this idea.

Del!!! Where you been breh?

And I agree. Colbert has done a crappy job, yet somehow has escaped a lot of criticism for this current dearth of talent on our roster...

God? Perfect? I didn't see any of that posted. Besides, you don't have to be either of those things to be a better option than Tomlin.

Some will always call out the coach just because the team is losing. But you know good and well this board has given long, thoughtful reasoning against Tomlin. And you act as though he's just being called out with no reasoning, because we just keep dropping a few fluke losses here and there.

I'm pretty mad at this team right now.

If that is what you got out of what i wrote then i guess im not doing a good enough job of expressing myself. Cowher was riducled just as much here for whatever reasons. Now he is being lobbied to he brought back. That doesnt make any sense to me. Thats my point..

Tomlin: "I still believe we are 1 or 2 plays per game from being undefeated."
Reporter: "Huh, whaaa ... you think, 1 or 2 plays per game from being undef..."
Tomlin: "I do. We are a championship caliber team, but for 1-2 plays per game."
Reporter: "What plays might those be?"
Tomlin: "The ones where I use my super-secret 2-point conversions. Duhhh."

Yes, but God? Perfect? Nobody said that stuff, just that he'd be a better option than Tomlin. I don't see how it's unfair to make that claim; whether true or not, do you think Tomlin is just so far above Cowher that only a fool would rather have Cowher?

Cowher caught **** here because the HC and QB will always, always catch ****, and because he certainly had his flaws. But to claim Tomlin is just being ripped blindly because he happens to be the HC during a rough patch is false.

Welcome him back like Billy Bob Thornton would welcome back Angelina Jolie.

I will admit i used hyperbole to make a point. Other then that my point was exactly what i said. Cowher caught just as much flak on this board now there are calls to bring him back. Why? I dont understand that. Thats all. Sorry to disappoint you. You're going to have to get your Argue Fix somewhere else today..

Cowher is a much much better coach than Tomlin but I want Tomlin gone and to go in a new direction instead of bringing back a retread whose heart is not in coaching anymore. This franchise needs a breath of fresh air to get the stink of Tomlin's stupidity and ineptness off.

Would love to have Cowher back, but I think that ship has sailed for both sides. He still has a passion for the team, but not sure he has it for coaching still. The only guy connected with the team who I could see getting consideration would be Munchak. Not sure he is a guy that can lead a team out of mediocrity, though, as we saw in Tennessee.

No thanks. But I DO want someone replacing our current coach

If he was our only option for lighting a fire under these guys' butts, I wouldn't mind. But as much as I love the guy I had many moments of wanting to tear my hair out over some of his decisions. Numero uno being sticking with Kordell as long as he did.

I think that would work as well as when the Redskins brought back Joe Gibbs.

I think Cowher's coaching days are gone. He seemed to have lost his fire his last season. Too long of days as HC too. I think he'd be a very good GM. He'd hold people accountable.

I'd love to see him back with the organization, but not necessarily as coach. GM or head of the scouting dept. would be good. Having said that,I don't buy the premise that Tomlinson is on the hot seat yet.

I think Cowher's coaching days are gone...

I used to think that. But looking back, I have a hunch that his wife's cancer - which was undisclosed to the public at the time - was really the driving force in his resignation.

I see him coaching again, probably next year, either the Giants or Jets. That way he and Queen V can stay in NY. I don't think she'd geehaw with The Burgh.

I think he likes not having to spend the time he once had too. I don't see him as a coach or GM..............................

I don't think he'll coach again....

Hell yes I'd take him back. I hated a lot of his decisions but at least he had a plan and stuck to it with great success.
