I might be able to go to one of these games. Airfare cost does not equation in as it might be next to free. Coming from Vancouver,so getting to the New Jersey will be a lot less of a hassle. Hotels in the meadowlands area like East Rutherford were around 130$ + Nashville was surprisingly expensive. i dont need all the bells and whistles, just close to stadiums and clean.Trying to keep hotel costs down.

The price of tickets were very reasonable for both games. Staying in Nashville and stadium is downtown so that would be a plus. But staying in Meadowlands area, they all say bus transit outside door to NY city, which i would love to see as well. Of course the Titans game is Monday night Football which adds excitement as well.

What would you do,any suggestions of where to stay or go,eat would be appreciated. Lots of others going? Would try to stay whichever i go to for 4-5 days. Thanks
GO STEELERS

Cost and just getting around in NYC and NJ is a hassle. I'd go to TN.

New York over Nashville any day unless you are really into country music.

Nashville everyday and twice on Sunday's. I lived there for 5 years. Great town great nightlife and not just country music. Much much safer and cleaner than NYC and much cheaper. Great turkey legs at the stadium last time I was there.

Monday Night Football.

Late night, but man it would be way more exciting, I'd think. Plus you get that free day off!

Coming from a cosmopolitan place like Vancouver, NYC will probably hold a lot of appeal for you. If you were coming from Podunk, I'd say go to Nashville.

The Jets play in New Jersey, in a giant toilet bowl of a stadium in the middle of a ******* swamp. Go to the Titans game. Go to NYC another time when you can actually stay in the city and spend all your time there.

We've been to Nashville twice. We stayed at a hotel at the top of the strip and had a great time. There is a full blown Steelers bar on that main strip which was packed the entire weekend. The town will be full of Steelers fans, hopefully they play better for you than they did for us. We lost both times we were there.

Should be alot of Steelers fans in jersey for the game. But Jets fans are the worst..horrible miserable people.

It's all about your budget and what you consider fun. NYC is crazy expensive if you want to go into the city. If you can blow a few thousand on food and entertainment, then NYC is the place. If you want some shopping, NYC is the place.

It's hard to do NYC on the cheap unless you know all the secret spots where you can get a good deal. The restaurant with great food that nobody knows yet, the Chinatown basement where you can bet a some sort of man vs beast contest while eating monkey, etc.

If you don't want to drop a few thousand, then go to Tenn

Ayep, you ain't lyin. Worst fans in the NFL IMO.

To the OP: Go to Tennessee, Nashville is a sweet town, and I've heard that Titans fans are actually pretty cool with very little in the way of troublemakers (at least for Steeler fans lol)

Considering you're going to stay 4-5 days, go to NYC. Never been there for a game, but I love to tour the city for that exact amount of time. Been there three times and am looking forward to getting back there in a few years.

Nashville over the cesspool that is New York/New Jersey everyday.

Papillon

If you've never been to NYC, you should go just once. The World Trade Center memorial is well done and worth the visit.

I like both spots. Been spending a lot of time in Nashville recently. That's where I would go this time of year. Even if you are not a country fan, there are plenty of great restaurants and night spots. Lots of eye candy too.

So, we're planning a trip for eye candy now??? I'm all in!!!

Nashville, for sure. Better weather, less Jets/Giants/Jerseyboys. Also, I hear Nashville is the swinger capital of the US. If you're into that sort of thing ;)

Thanks for all the replies. I am somewhat surprised by all the Nashville votes. In a good way. I might try and do a New York trip without a football game one day. My son and I went to see a game in Pittsburg around 7 years ago against the jets. Not to sound too sappy, but it was one of the best experiences ever. I remember we got lucky and got a Hotwire rate at the William penn for around 80$ a night for 4 nights.

Walking over the Roberto Clemente bridge with all the other thousands of fans was quite surreal for this life long fan, passing the tradition to his son. And what a great and beautiful city, great time was had with a few beverages consumed. Makes me think instead I should try for a home game. But man do they jack up the rates in the hotels in Pitt for game day weekends.
