I'm waffling on my pick

bpa? sure whatever. Im saying it as a need to upgrade. Like someone else said, i dont think they think dan moore is this liability. They dont say anything about chuks. And they want to run..

Moore is much as a pass blocking liability as Chuks is run deficit. They should view both of them as upgradable.

The difference is that Chucks being a Run blocking pile of crap isn’t going to get the QB killed… moore struggling with outside speed rushers from the blind side may well do that…

Also Chucks probably isn’t going to be a ten million dollar backup… .. drafting a guy at rt is probably a fix for next season more than this one…

Like we’ve been discussing throughout the various threads, this draft is DEEP at RT… there is no reason to skip over a premium position at CB, S, LT, or even DL or Edge for a RT in the first… RT isn’t exactly a great spot to build a line around…

I mean I prefer them not taking a pure Rt in the first, and I prefer them not trading up… but I could live with either however I would despise them trading up then taking a Pure RT… lol

Last year I was ok with them taking Pickett if he was there but I wasn’t thrilled with the idea of trading up for Pickett and they almost did just that… and the year before I was wholeheartedly opposed to taking a rb in the first, and they did that… i was ok with them trading for Minkah because the situation, but I hated them trading up for bush… so if recent history means anything its that they certainly don’t give a damn about my opinion 🤣

I have a feeling you may get half your wish, I'm guessing if they move up and I think they might it's Parris Johnson.

My drum has been beating this beat for a long time now.

Part of my worry is how they (STEELERS) view Dan Moore. I think they view him WAY more favorably than most here. Possibly enough to not address the LT issue that is so plainly seen by many.

There is only one view of Moore, that is him chasing a RDE or ROLB running right past him to our franchise QB. Be it Big Ben or Pickett, Moore absolutely blows. They made an investment in a QB, make the investment to protect him and move on to other needs. No reason to ***** foot around here with positions they draft poorly, like cornerback.

They can get a RT without paying a premium price. 3rd round would be fine and maybe Moore wouldn't be a liability over there like he is at LT.

LT is just a position you can not **** around with an expect to have a quarterback play 17 games.

Lots of the same names being floated around for our first several picks...

Yinz know exactly what's going to happen....

90% of those names will be selected by teams in our division and/or the Pats!

And also... agreed.

I feel Moore is the more need for this OL unit, he protects the blind side.

My fear is that the STEELERS don’t view Moore as a high of liability as many here do. I could see then passing on a HIGH END LT and choosing that HOF TE Or ILB they think so highly of.

If Campbell was there at 1.17 and the top grade LT was there too, I’m feared they would take Campbell and ignore the LT, similar to when the drafted Muuuth and ignored Creed.

New AGM setting the board so I hope those days are gone.

You and I both.

I think his input has been vital to this point. I also think he is teaching a little instead of just suggesting, we needed that traight for some time Now. There could be some upper management pressure as well.

I’ve been in his corner day one and would love for him to develop into that OL. But as it stands I feel we could use an upgrade. I hope he proves me wrong and that the coaches know more than I do.
