Initial thoughts on browns Game

The play on the field was subpar today, real bad. Needed more from Heyward, Watt, and Minkah on defense. What is up with JPJ? Terrible tonight. The offense didn't do enough. Najee was just bad in a game he should've shined. Waitman picked a bad time to shank a punt.

Even with all that, it was completely overshadowed by the awful coaching. They put the players in terrible spots tonight and it ultimately cost the team the game.
They deserved that loss. Substandard coaching, substandard offense, substandard defense. Mixed in with a whole lot of stupid. What a disappointing bunch of ******** that every year fall ******* flat at the most critical times. Waste my time watching these twatwaffles.

58 yard field goal attempt in this weather....uh ok

the early packages for Fields are less than impressive

way too many penalties to start this game off

terrible ******* first half for the offense

holy **** no offense....little defense

then BAM 2 TDs in 6 minutes

nice TD drive

herbig with a huge play

CA3 for 6

refs fuckinig refuse to call DPI in favor of a Steeler

way more passing than you would expect in a snow game

Defense getting turnovers when it matters

refs flat refuse to give Pickens a PI call

**** **** ****

what a terrible time for a ****** ******* punt

******* defense just can't get a stop

**** what a ****** ending

******* **** **** fucj
3rd & 4, bring Fields in to throw way down field when a first down basically ends the game with 3:22 remaining.

How is the penalty not intentional grounding on Winston?!?!?

I would really like an explanation why that was illegal touching and not intentional grounding.
If you throw the ball to a lineman who tries to catch it, the NFL views that as an intentional pass to an ineligible receiver and not intentionally throwing the ball away. This is one of many gray areas in the nfl rulebook.

One thing I will say - one way or another, for what we're paying Minkah he needs to start having a bigger impact on games.

He hasn't had an INT since January 2023.

Honestly, one can say Watt needs to have a bigger impact as well. When is the last time he has had a typical TJ Watt game?

Oh, I agree. The headcoach is ******* horrible and was a terrible hire. But tonight specifically is on Arthur Smith.
You are assuming that Smith has the freedom to design and call his own playbook, gameplan…etc. when I see the same play calling under 3 different coordinators, same game plans under 3 different coordinators, it is not a coincidence. This is Tomlin’s offense and game plans.

Wilson had been making great throws in the snow throughout the second half. To have Fields in the game throwing in that situation was inexcusable.
Especially with a qb that had not thrown a pass since pre-game 2 hours ago, in 29 degree weather.

Apparently he was hit while throwing the ball affecting the pass, so they can't rule intentional grounding not knowing where the ball would've landed if he wasn't contacted. At least that's how I understood the explanation. If he throws the ball clean, game is probably over. Loss of 13 yards, 4th down and out of field goal range.

Teryl Austin needs to move TJ Watt around just like Jim Schwartz moves Myles Garrett around on the Browns Defense! A good DC will be able to put his players in position to be sucessful. Watt is constantly getting double and triple teamed. His lack of production is certainly not for a lack of effort!

Mike Tomlin and Arthur Smith need to start throwing down the field and over the middle instead of just throwing outside the numbers like we've seen the past 3 weeks. Use the entire field man!

Tonight you saw how terrible Dan Moore actually is!

Tomlin has shown how poorly prepared he is when playing sub-par football teams and a lack of preparation. It's why I will never consider him a great coach! I don't care if he ends his career with more wins than any Head Coach! He's average at best! He's certainly the most over-rated Head Coach in NFL History!

I can't watch this anymore. This team will drop at least five more games but Tomlin will get his non-losing season. The drop the Eagles, Chiefs, Ravens, and both of the Bengal games.
I think we win one of the Cincy games, finish 10-7 squeak into the playoffs as the bottom seed and then get destroyed by the two seed being the Chiefs or Bills.

I just don't see that. I think his follow through was abbreviated but the ball was out. And my biggest problem was I 100 percent believed they intended to call intentional grounding but got "help" from upstairs.

Yeah I don't really agree with it either, but that was the explanation they tried to give.
