Initial thoughts on the Bills game

I dunno, I think the worse the weather the better it is for us.
The 26 mph winds will obviously cause the QB with the much better arm to be able to have more success in the passing game. Advantage Bills.

If Steelers fans think the Steelers are going to just run the ball all day, that plays into the Bills hands as well.

Should be a fun one for the Bills in the early window.

The FOX game at 3:30 cst is the game everyone around the country will be tuning in to see.

Snow games are fun to watch.

Boz has ice flowing through his veins. He can kick anywhere, anytime and under any conditions. He may end up being the secret weapon in this game.

Yes. Safety of people driving to the game, also the possibility of the NY Thruway being closed, something I have personal experience with.
Can you imagine if you were a bills fan and they moved your home playoff game at the last minute? I’d be more than pissed off.
I was on Reddit last night and there was a KC Chiefs page. Quite the interesting comments from their fans. It’s going to be frigging cold for their game. Ticket prices have dropped way down. People are getting tickets for under 50$…..unheard of for playoff tickets. The diehards that usually can’t afford to go are buying.

Buffalo will feel like the tropics compared to KC. But of course for the snow.

interesting note. My dear youngest son lives in Edmonton, where he has chosen this weekend to move.
-35 Celsius with wind chill to -40 to -50C
equals -31 F to -40 to -58 F wind chill
I made it quite known that I would not fly out to give him a hand like I did his last move. 😊

in comparison Buffalo game time 25F= -3.9C according to weather network. Wind 25 - gusts up to 45.
snow during the game could be around 4 inches.

An interesting weekend will be had by all. Might have to crank the fireplace up a notch. Maybe dig out the electric blanket for the couch. My pug likes to keep warm. The images on the big screen might disturb him.

At 4” Buffalo Fan doesn’t bat an eye but it could just as easily be 4 feet.
I lived in the Northern Tier of NY for a year and met my ex-wife there. After we split up she moved back and I was back and forth once a month to see my kids. Been in my share of white-outs and -30 temps.

Go sit down cheese head…

Not sure if mentioned, but Mike Greenburg said that the Bills "basically have a bye"

You know some years ago, if anyone had said that you could rest assured the Steelers would probably beat the **** out of them.

The last playoff team who pretty much saw the Steelers as just an extra padded practice was the Chiefs. They made easy work of them.

I think we will have a good idea early on. I'm flatlined on expectations. It will take a couple wins to get my nerves tweaking.

Disagree with me all you want, but DK must be reading this forum because he made the same case this morning that I'm making. I really believe people are overlooking how porous this Bills defense is against the run. I guess we'll see in a few days.
I hope that you're right. New England led the league in your favorite category at 3.3 YPC allowed, and they still gave up 178 yards rushing to Breece Hall last week, in a snowstorm. You never really know for sure until they get between the lines.

I think what this team needs to drive the point home is a pep talk from THE J-Peezy

All of this YPC crap means nothing if the weather is going to be as bad as they say. Buffalo plays a ton of 4-2-5 defense, which really isn't the greatest for stopping the run, but if the weather is horrible like it sounds, they won't be in that defense much, both teams will be a much more run stopping personnel. Although I have seen Tomlin call 40 passes in the wind in Cleveland one game resulting in a 13-9 loss.

Weather is the ultimate equalizer as it relates to outdoor sporting events..

Just look at last weeks game against the ravens ..
If weather was good I think we win that game by 14 plus points..

I think we know it will be windy. I wouldn't mind seeing 20 to 30 MPH winds and a few inches of snow during the game. Let's make this fun. Najee is the one back built for this. Then again, the Jills did just sign Fournette. He's a big dude and could have a significant role in this one.

not everyone

Not saying no one will watch the Steelers at Bills game, but most of the country will be tuning in to watch the Packers at Cowboys at 3:30 cst.

Should be a good weekend of football.
you said everyone was going to tune into the cowboy game....that is not true

I usually cheer for any team against the cowboys

you are the type of ******** fan that makes folks want the cowboys to win

There's a reason they don't play playoff games at the same time, so everyone can watch each game.

Heavy snow right up until game time and maybe during the game, 25 MPH winds all through the game with gusts much worse. Warren could be HUGE in the screen game if he can hold onto the ball. So could Boz with the Field Goals. I just hope Harvin doesn't kill us. This could be a very ugly game.

This could be a very ugly game.

Wouldn't be the first playoff embarrassment under the current regime.

The majority of fans should expect that outcome, and be pleasantly surprised if it wasn't...

iu

It's going to be a mother beautiful win..Think that win is gonna be there and it'll be there.

Dude I hope you're a kid, because if you're an adult and that's how you act (pr*ck hiding behind his computer trying to agitate others), I feel really sorry for you and you'll clearly be watching the game by yourself tomorrow.

Gosh, now I'm hoping the cowgirls thump them, so this twit goes back to his ball of old, smelly stale cheese.

It would be interesting to know how many Steelers and Bills grew up and played in cold weather climates.

Allen; Form California, but played ball at Wyoming (brrr).
Mason: From S Carolina, played ball at Oklahoma State.

Allen now has experience playing in the cold as Buffalos starting QB.
I'm not sure Mason ever played a down in cold weather as Pitts backup.

Advantage: Allen
